    Groin pain while doing squats

Lately I have been experiencing groin/ iner hip pain when I do squats. Particularly front squats. What are good exercises for strengthing the groin? I'm also wondering if stance and center of gravity during the lift might be an issue?

i'm looking up similar stuff right now. same thing happened to me. all i can tell you right now is not to work your lower body for 1 - 2 weeks before you do what i did. i kept working through it for 3 weeks or so, i always thought it got a bit better and i could still do my workouts. it especially hurt on squats and anything you have to push your hips out on, like coming out of the hole, locking out deadlifts, leg raises etc... i've never had any groin problems so i thought this was something minor and would just disappear as long as i wouldn't aggravate it too much. it got a lot worse and now i had to take a little break from lower body work. taking 1 - 2 weeks off training completely and starting up again lightly might be very beneficial here, or at least cutting lower body work.

Ya I was thinking of taking some time to let it heal. It's not real bad at this point and i don't want to aggravate it. I'm going to try to strengthen my hip adductor, abductors and see if that helps any.

Narrowing your stance can also help.

    Stronger hamstrings usually fix this.
