What I have...but I can't believe it's really taking Samsung this long to update it to Marshmallow. What a joke.

I've never used these phones to near their capabilities. Mostly just gaming, net, texting and calls. Just like the bigger screen and functionality. Pretty damn sexy too.

Same brah. Have a snapdragon Note 4, saw that they announced 6.0 in Q2 or something i was like wtf i don't want to wait that long so i found a nice 5.1.1 vs 6.0 clone on xda and flashed it (more of a Note 5 to Note 4 port).
    Works like a tank.
Still want an official 6.0 rom. :/

Had a note 3 custom rom and kernel and ended up going to an iPhone 6 when it came out. Looking to upgrade end of this year and am quite keen on going back to android (possibly the 2016 htc nexus, Xperia z6, or even lg G5).

Love the build quality of Apple but hate iTunes with a passion. Hate that if I bought a game for my iPhone (square enix) I wouldn't be able to play it on my iPad (got that shiet for free). currently living in South Korea with my wife and I can't even access the us App Store without entering a fckin US credit card and billing card info.

    Yeah I'm mad

Samsung usually don't release an update until their 1st phone with the latest android version is out. Just one way of trying to convince people of getting the new phones.
And generally, they are always late at releasing official updates. I always have the Note (still on Note 4 now) series and always have custom rom so I'm not really affected by them being always late.

Anyone have a Gear S2 classic? Got a software update today and it's AMAZING! So fast and responsive. It was a bit laggy lately and this definitely fixed it. Got some new watch faces and icon colors as well. The S2 probably already had the update as they seem to get it first.

I want an S2 for the gym, but that's a bit too baller and my wife would not be happy lol.

Super stoked, just ordered mine today and will be here tomorrow!

Did I goof by getting the Classic over the standard S2? I'd like to still use it at the gym.

Serious question - what's the point/appeal of a smartwatch if I do everything with my phone?
    Stop it. Get some help.

It's kinda just a thing. I got a moto 360 via a Sprint credit and it's cool but eventually ends up just being another gadget you have.

lol @ smartwatches. I remember one of my buddies arguing with me for hours a few years ago because I told him the Apple smart watch was a useless overpriced fad. He was certain smartwatches would be on everyone's wrist by now. I've still yet to see anyone that has one IRL.

The fact is, they offer very limited utility for the price. Even if I had one for free, I don't think the functionality gained would offset the annoyance of actually wearing the thing, plus charging it every night

Just got my Gear S2 Classic today--I had a Neo previously and I'd be able to set it when I sleep to track. I'm finding no such functionality in the S2, I had just assumed since I was purchasing the same brand name, that functionality would be there

I see a ton of people with smartwatches.

But to me they need to become much less bulky and have much better battery life before I am interested.

This S2 Classic is a lot smaller than I thought it would be--much smaller than the Gear 2 Neo I own, it fits like a normal watch. Battery life is still tbd, but reviews say it lasts 2-3 days.

Switched over to Fi yesterday. Can confirm it's GOAT.

Btw, how long did it take you to get your MMS to work? I can send them to friends, but can't receive any atm

The big advantage I see is being able to check notifications without having to pull out your phone. That is a very useful feature.

Nice! Glad other people are taking advantage of the service.
I don't believe I had any issues sending or receiving MMS. I've used Fi since day 1 of having my 6P, so there really wasn't anything to compare the service to on the phone.
For what it's worth, I use Textra for messaging and use the Legacy (instead of System) MMS setting in the app.
    Stop it. Get some help.

Honestly can't wait to start anew for me and the wifey.
It'll be cool not having to change homes/regions every 3ish years.

And would anyone recommend just paying off the phone now, and getting a 6P?
Or should I wait until I go to an area that offers Project Fi?

The fact is, they offer very limited utility for the price. Even if I had one for free, I don't think the functionality gained would offset the annoyance of actually wearing the thing, plus charging it every night
They actually are quite handy, especially with marshmallow now on android wear. I can have an entire conversation via text without even taking my phone out of my pocket. Definitely a good tool while driving. I can also turn on wifi, leave my phone sitting on my desk and still get all of my notifications throughout the entire office as long as i'm connected. There are definitely times when it's useful.

Also, still waiting on galaxy s6 marshmallow update. Pulled my old HTC M8 out of the closet last night and saw where the phone had been sent the marshmallow update like 3 weeks ago. SMH

they should some point be able to make it like a full banded watch where part of the band is flexible oled. that would be sweet.

I'd wait just because by Nov-Dec, the Nexus 6P will be over a year old and you can either get the next Nexus or get the 6P much cheaper.
