It's a goal to witness it someday. Past 2 years I had friends go and I'm just boring with working all the time. Leaving work too long gives me high anxiety.

Intredasted to hear your results tho. I am hoping I get my phone cases within the next 2 weeks. If you have a mount for your phone you can try out the expert RAW Samsung app, it has some unique astrophotography features.

I haven't done much camera comparison, but I LOVE this S23 Ultra. Such a massive upgrade from my S10+

really liking how it is significantly larger. battery life is 100x better. not sure if mine was going bad, but I could barely make it through a work day with anything remaining. now I can sit on my phone and browse social media or play pokemon go all day and go to bed with 40% battery

cameras seem kinda meh so far. I haven't taken a single pic with the 200MP camera that looked good. so I'm wondering if I have settings wrong there or something

why wouldnt samsung put a headphone jack in that big boy? i have had to zoom from my phone many times and using a real headset would have been great

I don't think headphone Jack's are worth it unless they put a strong audio processor in it for audiophile purposes. Otherwise no one is using wired headphones anymore really.

But I have some good cans I use on my pc that would be awesome to be able to plug in my phone for lossless audio. Otherwise I use the Samsung buds+ which I've had for a few years now and are absolutely goated Bluetooth earbuds.

The 50mp mode is where it's at for me. I generally keep it there. 200mp only works better in optimal lighting conditions.

Money reasons, as well as water proofing. Honestly I was complaining about this a few years ago but I only use earbuds now anyway. They are far more comfortable to wear and the sound quality is fantastic to me.

Yes many phones do, in the mid and lower ranges. In the high range, only the Sony Xperia phones. Honestly they are some beast setups hardware wise, they just don't have the best software.




Anyways boys after being super careful with my phone for a while, I finally got my cases and happy about that. Normally I'd have gotten them a week ago but there was an issue with my forwarder.

Anyway, I got 2 cases and I have to say both are amazing and I'm glad I did my research. The ESR shock case will be my daily but it is heavy duty and super protective. Best part though is it's the best looking protective case I've seen and the kickstand is badass. Cons, it's a bitch to take off. Goddamn.

Next case is the Torras Marsclimber. Slimmer, feels amazing, smoked transparent back, amazing kickstand, nice lip protection for the screen and looks beautiful, especially if you got a phone color other than black. Highly recommend this one.

Yeah? I was reading some chit about it needing a special cable to really unlock the super fast part. I guess this one comes with that cable. How long does it take? Mine charges to 85% in like 1hr 20 mins I think with the normal fast charging.

I just plugged in at 52% and it says 42 min until full

You don't use the 85% limiter? It's better on the battery due to heat and stress when charging close to max capacity.

From what I'm reading online, seems like the super fast charging only gives like 15 mins or so of quicker charge. I plugged my regular charger in @ 7% and it said 80 mins to get me to 85%

Oh, putting this on a separate post for the s23cels, I am using light performance mode under battery settings and it's a great setting. I notice absolutely no slow downs in daily use and if you launch a game it automatically disables light mode and goes into full power mode. The benefit of it is a considerable increase in battery life. Won't hurt to test it yourself.

just got back from 8 days in Hawaii and took around 1,500 pics with the S23 Ultra. I'm not much of a landscape guy so can't comment there, but GOT DAMN the portrait mode is gorgeous.

often times I'd rather use my $1100 S23 Ultra for portraits than my $8000 Canon R5 + RF 85mm f1.2 for the same job

it's soo good that my sister who has been using iPhones for 10 years went out and dropped $1600 on an S23 Ultra on the first day lol. she loves it and is preaching to everyone about it

Obviously your beast ass Canon would take the better and more accurate pics, it's not even close but if you don't have time to fuk around with Lightroom, where the S23 shines is the work the AI puts in. Honestly I havent been messing around too much with options, I have mine on 50MP mode, set the shot up right and the processing just gives me some joocy pics that look fantastic for social media.

It was over the course of a few days my guy. Right now in battery settings it's saying estimated time per charge = 4 days lol. Probably true because I haven't charged it in days. Insane.

Minor semantics correction, the 8 gen 2 processor is GOAT. Battery is the same as last year, the difference as I'm sure you already know is how incredibly efficient this chip is.

Absolute wildin. I've never experienced this in a phone, ever. It's like 60fps in gaming, you don't know you were missing out till you experience it. With my S10+ it was so inconvenient having to sometime charge twice a day. Now I don't worry about it at all for days, lmao
