Seasonal Food/Groceries Symposium
Fellow seasonal food followers, this thread is a forum by which we can share seasonal food finds, compare brands, and give ratings and reviews of all seasonal foods.
This forum is the product of the success of The Pumpkin Compendium, a forum for all things pumpkin related, but where some forum members also wished to discuss foods from other seasons.
The topics of discussion for this forum will, obviously, change seasonally: fall will be centered around pumpkin-related foods and similar fair; winter will be gingerbread, eggnog, etc; spring will be eggs, peeps, etc...
As always, no pic quoting, be respectful, and enjoy!

Those cranberry bars look good. Gotta stock up on the pumpkin this weekend while I can."The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it." Michelangelo

First post in this thread, just got these; Wal-Mart exclusive.
M&Ms (peanut butter ones especially) are my favorite candy, so couldn't wait to try these. Pretty meh honestly, they are good but the milk chocolate over-powers the gingerbread which tastes more spice like than anything. Worth picking up to try them out but probably wont bother buying again.
Still waiting on the Peppermint M&Ms, loved those last year.Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.

Reposting this from The Pumpkin Compendium since this thread is more appropriate for it.
The GOAT....
Mallowmars- Really, need I say anything? Absolutely the single best seasonal cookie, loaded up on these and will be continuously buying them; already ate 2 boxes today, feel sick but not a single damn is given. A S'Mores cookie basically, I feel very sad for all of you who don't have access to this.
Gingerbread Oreo- Pretty good actually, a little light on the gingerbread flavor but worth picking up for the try. It's Oreo, can't go wrong; speaking of which....
White Fudge Covered Oreos- The normal fudge ones are available year round, but these are limited which blows because they are incredible. I love white chocolate so covering an Oreo with it is just magic, your basic Oreo (which is great on its own) covered in a white chocolate fudge. Beats out the gingerbread, if you like white chocolate at all than these are definitely recommended.
And this I have never seen before, picked up mostly out of curiosity.
Fudge Covered Ritz- Wasn't too sure the fudge coat would work with the buttery cracker but it was a nice mix; somewhat a sweet/salty combo that complimented each other well. The texture was also intriguing, the crumbly Ritz with the chocolate made for a weird but enjoyable feel. Worth picking up to try at the very least, think I will pick up another box or two, a unique and delicious experience.Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.

In.
Yesterday's in Granger, Indiana. Two of their seasonal pumpkin treats (yes, I ate the ice cream with the cheesecake 'cause that's the way to do it).
Pumpkin Cheesecake
Pumpkin Ice Cream
Massive A++ for both. Nothing else need be said 'cept that these are probably my favorite pumpkin season goodies."Mediocrity knows nothing higher than itself, but talent instantly recognizes genius."

Not so hyped for the M&Ms because I'm suspicious that the chocolate is going to drown out any real gingerbread flavor (could be wrong), but those Twix....hrmmm....

Edit:
Oh, and there's this:

Not many gingerbread ice cream options around here, so I'm hyped.Last edited by Crucifist; 11-04-2013 at 06:52 AM.

Probably too late to edit the OP to include the Compendium for archival purposes, but if not we should do that.
