New Army.
Now you can be tatted up on your neck and hands, have long hair and claim to be the opposite gender. Women can now even have their hair down in uniform. Then they wonder why no one wants to sign up or stay in. They basically eliminated military bearing. (Ded fkn Srs)TRUMP 2024

They even got rid of the GED requirement as of right now. Srs.
It's effecting people in as well. I filed my retirement paperwork in DEC to retire THIS DEC. They reassigned me and adjust the regs to need a minimum of 2 years on station before you can retire.
I filed a Congressional over it. It came back 2 months later taking my side, ordering me to return to my last duty station and retire.
The Army is not honoring it. They claimed the wording was incorrect so they don't have to do it.
I filed and IG complaint and they buried it.
Sh!t is absolutely unreal.
Sidenote, if anyone knows anyone in JAG, please PM me. My terminal leave was supposed to start in less than 2 weeks.
EDIT: Sorry for the drama post. JAG and my congressman worked it out with HRC. I have to stay 5 more months, but that beats 2 years.Last edited by Jayl12345; 08-08-2022 at 06:12 AM.

Thanks, unfortunately I've remained rather healthy for 20+ years of service lol.
However, JAG wrapped up everything a couple weeks ago. I asked them to propose 1 year instead of 2 and big army agreed to my terms of surrender.
Basically now I go on terminal leave the same time I should have retired. But considering they took 4 months of my retirement planning away from me, it works out pretty evenly.
The kicker is my original retirement still processed, even with all this BS happening. Got all my retirement paperwork for DEC a couple weeks ago and had to call and correct it. With how chitty they've been they would have figured out the mistake in NOV and then called me back in and I didn't want to take the chance.██ █ ★ █ ██ USMC 99-07. USA 09-Present.

Soon.. Just PCSd. I (probably stupidly) got an MRI out of pocket because my lower back has been messed up. But it was only a few hundred and I really wanted to know for sure. It did show some damage, just need to talk to my civilian doc about it to make sure I understand the medical lingo properly.
Hopefully by December I can start the career skills program back home and start chilling early.
****... I'm sure you can turn it around. Just remember the army is a serial abuser. And it won't change! Think I learned that here.

If you are still in or have gotten out already, I suggest using a Veteran Service Organization for your disability claim.
I retired in 2008 with a 40% rating. I never got around to trying to appeal it until last year after seeing some of my younger soldiers get higher ratings.
I used a VSO called Veterans Benefit Guide out of Las Vegas. Last June I submitted my intent to file. I went to their doctor for an exam and sent them copies of my medical records. They submitted my claim directly to the VA. In December of last year I was awarded 100% P&T.
Yes, I paid them a good amount of money, but it was clearly worth it to me.
I have a co-worker who has been fighting with the VA for years. He has been using their doctors and a few weeks ago submitted several items. His claim went from 80% to 90% and several items were denied.Yeah, I'm old, been here for years before posting. Son posts as well.

I understand. Just trying to encourage others to use a VSO if possible.
They might be able to help others like they helped meYeah, I'm old, been here for years before posting. Son posts as well.
