Got the Xbox One demo at work yesterday... pretty cool. They showed us some things that launch consoles won't have. It was basically the below demo. Pretty cool in person.



From an advertisers perspective, Xbox One is pretty crazy. Kinect can track emotion, so Microsoft could literally track sentiment when viewing commercials via kinect, etc...

That's awesome to see! Real excited about the heart rate thing and the emotion pick up. I think some developer can make something really cool with those - perfect for horror type games. brb generating scary sh*t when people are at the height of their anxiety.

I had both ordered, decided that there wasnt enough for me to keep the PS4. Ill probably get one in the spring.

Probably will end up getting the Xbox but not for a while. I just built a gaming PC and only want an Xbox for the exclusive titles but mostly I want it cause it's going to be a kickass entertainment system.

Seeing as how the whole box is one big vent with an unnecessary amount of empty space I doubt there will be heat issues. Plus developers have said it's pretty much inaudible so it doesn't sound like it's working hard enough to cause any problems. Who knows though after last gen.

This...I have notoriously bad luck but somehow avoided the RROD until about year 4...keeping my fingers crossed with the xbone

Was going to end up getting both next gen consoles as well as keeping my PC but after seeing many reviews(brb ps3 with better graphics brb boring as fck) and even many people already switching from ps4 to Xbox one, I'm going to hold off on getting a ps4 till an actual good game comes out for it.

Hello Xbox brahs! Gonna try to sell my X360 in preparation for dat der next gen. Will it be okay for me to tell perspective buyers that MS will keep xbox live for 360 up even after the release of X1? Only thing I can find about this is that MS has said they will support X360 for 3 more years though no mention of Live.

I agree, blind fanboys acting like it's no big deal. I was the biggest 360 supporter but if you dont realize 1080 > 720 you are full potato or can't afford an big HD TV.

You put it above your tv, and you don't need it.

Also it's really only for motion gestures and voice control in my opinion. Only *******s and kids will use it to it's full extent.

But really I think it has some cool potential, check out the video a few posts above that shows some of the things the new version can do. I think RPGs and Horror games can use the tech which senses heart rate and your expressions. Imagine playing a horror type game and when your heart rate is raised and your anxiety is high game throws something scary out of left field at you so you sh*t yourself. Or it starts playing freaky music or doing something to raise your heart rate and get your anxiety level up. Or in RPGs NPCs can interact with you depending how you react with the kinect picking up your emotions and sh*t.

Some cools ideas but lets see it happen, I remember when that vision cam came out for 360 there were so many cool ideas that never came out. For instance they said all games would have your actual face on the character, I think that's so cool, especially for multiplayer games but it never happened.

Until it does something I'll use it for it's a gimmick.

I think the xbox brahs will get 1080p eventually once developers figure out how to work with the console and start optimizing for it. Honestly I'm over this whole Xbone vs PS4 thing and hope everyone enjoys their system of choice.

I've been conflicted on whether to build a PC or get a next-gen console. There's nothing 'wrong' with the PS4, but I just feel there wasn't as big of a leap as I thought there would be and the exclusives don't interest me. I said to myself at the start of this year, that if the next-gen consoles didn't impress me, I'd build a PC when black friday comes.

I screwed around with the PS4 and Xbox One at kiosks and I feel comfortable with the Xbox One. I like that it will have dedicated servers, Titanfall, good UI and NFL/UFC partnerships. I may say fuk it and buy one this friday.
