Did you guys like Gears 5? On Act 1 but not sure if I wanna keep playing because I don't really want to play as Kait lmao.

No but I went back and finished the Gears 1 campaign with the bonus Act V chapters. Played through to the credits and I gotta say… they never made another gears like that one. It’s a maaaaad world.

I absolutely LOVED that game, maybe my favorite of the 360 generation. But I agree, IMO sadly the serious peaked there at the first one.

I really enjoyed Gears 5, much better than Gears 4 imo.

And the Hivebusters dlc was really good too.

Gears 1 is Platinum. Unreachable imo. That last chapter and music was insane, wish I can forget all about that game just to replay it again srs. Was playing it again on Game Pass but took a break since I had barely finished G4

I didn't know they had plans for another game, cool af. I wonder what will happen.. humans are soft and weak compared to the locusts, let alone them working together with the swarm.

I'm not sure, they may do a new IP first. But it seems like they are definitely breaking the three year cycle between Gears, so that's good. Give it as much time as it needs.

so with the delays of Redfall and Starfield, what first party titles do you expect for 2022?

Here is what I think:
-Expansion for Forza Horizon 5
-Grounded
-As Dusk Falls
-Forza Motorsport reboot (it's been almost 5 years. Their previous track a 2 year cycle..... so this is a lot more development time)

2 and 5 are my favorites in the series I have played. I have not played 3 or Judgement yet. 4 was my least favorite

I had gears 2 on the 360, but didn't play the original until the remaster on xone.

although I really enjoyed Gears 5 and it's standalone single player dlc (hivebusters), it's definitely true the series is not nearly as Big public-perception-wise as it used to be.

man, a couple people on the msic have started playing the old Gears. Hope the rumored trilogy remake isnt real haha. I wouldn't want to play the old ones, then have them remade come out within a year or two

Im still playing tunic stuck on an area with spiked floors. And floating lazer shooting enemies. This is truly shaping into an epic game. I’ve heard compares to zelda. Which I thought so at first glance. It’s been compared to souls? I don’t see that much. But my good friend Rafiki said to Simba “Loook haaaarder.”

i feel like most of those hating on Gears haven't even played the recent ones or any at all. And just say it's "bad" because it's part of the old Microsoft IP's of Halo, Gears, Forza and all they had for a while.

The story is so much better than 4, cutscenes and all. Characters are more likeable too and I feel like they are getting developed more.

People should just give it a chance, and start with the first one. That one was recognized and played for years for a reason!

Coalition is a super talanted developer. Wait until you try Hivebusters. It's a showcase if you are playing on Series X. Only takes like 3-4 hours to beat as well

yea the open world portions are essentially just a hub in between missions.

That's not that bad. Still gotta finish Breath of the Wild and Link's Awakening lol. Flight sim looks kinda nice, been debating to get it to play while i'm watching a show in the background. BRB playing Gears 5, watching attack on titan and having my brain fried later on

apparently it's not AAA, its a smaller scale murder mystery, non-combat rpg.

which i'm pretty intrigued by.
