Anyone else take advantage of the Gamestop pro days sale? Just picked up Borderlands 3 for $10 and GTA V Premium Edition for $15.
Preordered:
Yakuza: Like a Dragon Day One
Cyberpunk 2077
Assassin's Creed Valhalla
Just wondering once I get the Xbox Series X will those games be enhanced as well?

If you're talking smart delivery then Yes, all three of those are part of the smart delivery system and will receive the best version on the Series X with automatic upgrades. Although Cyberpunk is apparently getting another next gen patch in 2021 to enhance graphics once the devs are done polishing it.

Jedi Fallen Order hitting EA Play and if you're a Gamepass subcriber will get access on Nov10th. Huge bonus for players still wanting to play through this and will run great on Series X|S. This has been on my backlog for a while now so pretty pumped myself.

Crappy pics of the setup
Had an extra mostly unused room. Dumped a couple of couches there, a lazy boy, and an 80" sammy 4K TV. That's where the Xbox will live
The PS5 will live in the corner of the game room. Ignore the IMac just got it and was setting it up, but it won't be there. Dx racer chair and table. Benq 27" HD monitor. I won't get a new monitor until hdmi 2.1 monitors become available. The reason the PS5 is on a better setup than the xbox is because my go to game is Destiny and i play it on PS
The Switch dock lives in the bedroom. The TV is pretty much right in front of the bed. I've always been opposed to having a TV in the bedroom, but that wasn't my call
Edit: and of course the 1st game i got on the xbox is crash bandicoot, because it looks like a game the first lady can play, and i don't want to become homelessLast edited by Tha big kahoona; 11-10-2020 at 08:28 PM.

120fps is legit awesome for multiplayer. I don't have an HDMI 2.1 set so I can't do 4k@120 but I can set mine to 1440p@120hz and playing Gears 5 at 120fps is just silky smooth in this mode. Glad the next gen consoles adopted this mode. I just wish you didn't need to manually go into settings to set your display in this mode. Should allow the game to control the output from within the game to make it a little more seamless. Anyone else playing around with 120hz mode?
Really liking the new SX so far. Only complaint is the lack of control over Quick Resume. Wish you could lock in and prioritize which games will stay in the queue as I bounce around from title to title with Gamepass and EA pass now. Its insane how quick you can turn on the box and be back in a game within 10-12secs from completely off with quick resume. Such a game changer of a feature and I'm still surprised at how fast in general the SSD is. That velocity architecture was well engineered it seems.

I'm more of a graphics snob compared to a FPS snob, I will be going with a 4K 60Hz monitor for my next gen consoles. Do you think that I will be missing out that much compared to 1440p @ 120Hz?

I'd say if you're a competitive player then the 120hz is a must. But if you're a casual or don't take it too seriously then a 4K/60 panel is fine. My panel is a 4k/60 but I can drop it to 1440p@120hz so its nice to have the option. You lose a little detail but if you're playing multiplayer it doesnt matter that you can't make out the tiniest details. For single player games I'm still using 4k/60 modes.
If its in your budget and you are getting a new TV I'd definitely recommend a tv with HDMI 2.1 and 120hz @ 4k. Best of both worlds.

Halo MCC update for SX is live.
In terms of the upgrades, there is a "raw performance improvement across the board," Hohl said. If you have a supported display, you can play Halo: MCC at up to 120fps/4K on Series X and 1080p on Series S. "
This was a big engineering effort as each game within MCC has unique performance challenges. While there are similarities to the efforts on the PC versions of each game, the work to do this on Series X|S is not always the same and included some unique challenges," Hohl said.
Whether or not you're playing at 120fps, MCC will get various graphics enhancements. Players can expected increased draw distances and an "improved split-screen experience" for both campaign and multiplayer. Hohl also teased that the loading times are dramatically improved. "I can't wait until everyone gets to experience these loading times," Hohl said.

It is but real world performance really hasn't displayed the power in games up to this point. I am not saying they won't get there but I was thinking I'd need a Series X if I got into a multiplat game and at this point that surely isn't the case. Last gen GPU performance gap was evident with how games ran right at launch.

Yeah it's great, bought it for the gamepass to try more diff genres of games without having to spend much money as I just used to buy the same old games on ps4. (Battlefield, fifa etc) it's definitely the best deal in gaming imo atm. No noise at all, instant load times, warzone looks awesome. I'm playing on a 1440p 120hz monitor(ps5 doesnt support 1440p yet) and it's a noticable diff on fps games.
Only negatives really is they haven't updated the UI for the Series X/S and that it still uses batteries on the controllers so I've bought a charging kit.WRB :)
