What is this?
This is a way for fantasy fans to not have to deal with a draft, or injuries, or a lengthy season to win money. This way you make a new team every day, based on what you feel is a good setup.



How does it work?
How it works is simple. You buy into a league (or multiple leagues) every week. The type of league and the number of leagues is up to you. You then proceed to build your team and submit it into the contest. Teams are built via a salary system where you get a certain amount of "cash" to spend on players to build your team.

This is an example from NFL but it works basically the same way.



As you can see "better" players cost more so you need to be thrifty with your money and try to make good purchases to balance a team.

How much can I win?



Obviously it depends on how much you are wagering but there are alot of different types of leagues. One of the most popular is the 50/50 league where you join a contest and if you're in the top-half you double your money. These types of bets are much more stable and you have a pretty good chance of winning if you know what you're doing.

Then there are the massive pools where if you get lucky and draft smart you can win thousands of dollars off a small amount.



Where do I play?

There are alot of websites out there that you can play on.


The only one I have experience with is www.Fanduel.com and it has worked well for me.


Is this Legal?

Yes, fantasy sports is considered a game of skill and received a specific exemption from the 2006 Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA 2006).














Purpose of this thread is to discuss Daily Fantasy Basketabll, Team Building Strategies, and various things in regards to this style of fantasy.

Harder to stay up to date on nba news. Games every night. Lots of last second injuries/sicknesses as opposed to nfl where you have all week to check injuries

This potato who is new to all sports in general, much less fantasy, just dropped joakim noah, j.r. smith, and tobias harris. another dude dropped steve nash. put in waiver claims on all of them. find out thursday if i'm president or not. we just did the draft sunday night not sure how these guys are being so potato already

are you knowledgeable with NBA daily fantasy? I mean i use rotogrinders alot and that helps alot but im hoping some people in here are as smart as the users we have in NFL right now

Negative, but there are a few people in here who are. I'm gonna be getting carried by jross and crew while I do a lot of research and watch a lot of games closely for the next month or so
