Caucasian Ovcharka vs Pitbull in a fight, who wins? (GTFIH)
Me and my friend have been arguing back and forth for close to 2 hours now about who would win in a fight. He says Pitbull, I say Ovcharka.
Pitbull:
-Can grow over 2' and 70 lbs (all muscle)
-Bred for fighting
-Naturally aggressive
Ovcharka:
-Can grow over 6' tall and 180 lbs
-Trained to guard Russian military bases
-Used for hunting bears and PACKS of wolves

Anyone that picks a pitbull to beat an ovcharka is biased and retarded.
Someone here linked a bunch of videos of kangals fighting pitbulls and got banned..... I don't usually watch that stuff because I like animals, but the pitbulls stood ZERO chance. It would be the same with the ovcharka

Um, we will start with this. Stats.
Caucasian ovcharka:
Weight up to 180
Bite force around 500 POUNDS
Bred for protecting livestock against bears and wolves.
Teeth length 2.9-3.3 cm
Pitbull:
Weight up to 70lb
Bite force around 235 POUNDS
Bred for fighting
Teeth length 1.8-2.4 cm
I'm not biased towards either breed, but when you say the pit would win indefinitely if the jaws "lock" you obviously don't realize that the Caucasian ovcharka has an extremely thick coat and one of the highest pain tolerances out of all the dog kingdom. What this has to do with anything is that means it won't go into submission over pain. The Pitbull locking jaws is a myth, something that started out as a saying because of there determination to keep ahold of it's competitor, and was started to be taken seriously that they really had jaws that "locked into place" but the Caucasian shepherds 500 pound biting force would be more effective due to its even greatedetermination. Size wise, the ovcharka weighing in at 180lb and standing at approximately 70-85 cm would be able to get the 70lb pit to the ground with much more ease than when it is taking down a 150lb wolf. If the pit get put on the ground, there is almost no chance of it winning.
All in all, the Caucasian ovcharka would have a higher chance of beating the Pitbull in a fight.
