Everyone knows agmatine is good for pumps but its pretty amazing for relieving anxiety as well. I read that as being a positive attribute but I never thought much about it because I'm rarely anxious. I did a team building event two weeks ago and we did a high ropes course. I did one once back in college and it scared the crap out of me. I took a gram of agmatine before I went thinking I might get a pump from climbing but I was in the zone and not scared a bit the entire time. I felt as relaxed up 60 feet as I did on the ground, which was not the case the last time I did a ropes course. Last week I had to speak in front of about 100 people, which would normally freak me out but I thought dosing up some agmatine might help. I took 1.5 grams and was completely relaxed and focused. You might say its psychological and because I thought it would work it did but I was not expecting anything on the ropes course. At any rate, if you have some occasional events that would cause you anxiety, take 1-1.5 gram and see if it helps.

You are right, however for some people (myself included) its just not that easy. Ive always suffered my entire life mainly in the way of massive anxiety and depressive episodes for no apparent reason and there are many people who suffer more than I. Be glad that you do not suffer the way we do......

I thought I was in the misc after reading this. Anxiety is very real. My mom has panic attacks where she is almost positive it is a heart attack when her anxiety is triggered and she hasn't taken her medication. You can tell her to calm down, stop thinking about it, take a more positive approach to situations (ect) all you want... the physical effects associated with the brain will surface themselves sometimes.

Thank goodness you're not a psychiatrist, poor patients... Yep, it's all "mental", but things are not so simple, one does not suffer because he want... Anxiety / depression are full-blown disease, related to brain chemistry, neurotransmitters, receptors, genetics, and a lot more factors that do not depend on oneself. And they can be very serious. Do not trivialize, pls.
Fuack science! Show me what you can do under the bar. That's where it's at

lol
Trust me, I have had anxiety issues in my life.
I have had panic attacks.
But over time i have learned to just get over it. Maybe everyone cannot do this, But i learned how.
In my mind, i find this to be a mental barrier people have. I would argue that once you classfiy something as a disability/disease mentaully people make it much worse than it actually is.
Do you think everyone on depression meds need them?
Or are they over prescribed?
Agree.
But that does not make it "not real". If you think about it, because years of helping the weak, we became a weaker race.Kick.com/beetoxic

I think it depends on the individual actually. Each person is different. Some people live and die by the meds and some people are over perscribed. It all depends on who it is. I think you really can learn a lot by reading up on your illness and seeing what factors and triggers you may have. Education is really everything and can help you fight illness.

That's the issue. You can tell someone to man up, however they aren't magically going to start producing more serotonin, dopamine, etc.
Not to get tangent, but should we not help the individuals with ADD or ADHD? Are they "weaker"? Some of the most brilliant minds this planet has seen and will see have an attention deficit disorder.
Neurological imbalances and chemical imbalances that an individual has no control over vs someone feeling down because thing aren't going their way are two different things. One can "man up" and eventually strive in a professional or personal manner, but some just literally can't.

I have no doubt some cannot.
I have no doubt of the research that proves chemical imbalances in some.
But i would argue that doctors "over" diagnose people with problems as well as over prescribe medications.
The majority of people have minor problems that get blown way out of control and then actually make the person worse when you tell them.Kick.com/beetoxic
