Well if its a problem for you, get it fixed, simple as that. That isn't the case for everyone.

And if you seem to be insecure about your hair, you generally will be an insecure person and that would manifest itself in many other ways throughout your life. Put in simple words great personalities/attitude will be great personalities/attitude no matter what(99% of the time).

I have actually used finasteride before and the only reason I don't now is for financial reasons, saving up for a hair transplant is expensive. I have no problems getting back on it as I didn't get any side effects and for now minoxidil and ketoconazole is keeping my hair loss at bay.

I'd rather take propecia every day than look like you. Don't take it the wrong way though as I have never seen any bald man I would want to look like. Not a single one ever in my entire life.

Well you're right we would rather have hair but given the crappy options out there I'd personally stay shaved. I haven't had a problem getting girls and women eye fuk me all the time so I'm happy with it. Careful with the transplant though

Why should a man who settle for any imperfections? Especially one as treatable as male pattern baldness? Seriously, all I do is shower every day with a ketoconazole shampoo and then spend 1 minute applying liquid minoxidil on my scalp and I'm done. Cost me about 20 dollars a month maybe. The hair transplant will be expensive but it is just a one time procedure and its permanent as the transplanted hair is DHT resistant.

OP ure not supposed to use ketoconazole shampoo everyday, Im using nizoral and I use it one a week. Aware me on if u can use it everyday. I started thinning at 15 and am 17 now using rogaine foam 5% once at night and nizoral once a week.

I am still not trusting the restoration. I understand they are making progress but I have read too many testimonials where the recipient did not like the outcome.

3k - 8k is really not that big of an investment to make if it is permanent. I honestly do not know anyone that would prefer to have male pattern baldness vs having a full head of hair so if 3k-8k was all it took to bring that kinda life satisfaction then there would be no reason not to.

What do you mean they can't help their genetics? There are treatments for male pattern baldness readily available on the market.

Ever heard of The Big 3? Finasteride, Minoxidil and ketoconazole shampoos? Finasteride is the only one of those treatments that some people get bad side effects from but I use just the latter two and I maintain my hair just fine and you can always restore what you lost with a high quality hair transplant.

Finasteride horror stories are bullchit. Some people get sides but they go away when you stop using them. If the effects were permanent then why do people lose their hair again when they stop taking it?

Did you actually do anything to try to stop your baldness before going bald? Being bald I think looks terrible on everyone. Some men are aesthetic enough that they can look decent even if they are bald but they would all still look better if they had hair.

I'm about a Norwood 2.5 but I will be getting a hair transplant, plus I use minoxidil and ketoconazole to retain what I currently have. I understand some guys have male pattern baldness that is so aggressive that no treatment works and for them I feel sorry for them.

For the rest of you guys who go bald I think most of you know it looks bad and you just pretend you don't care and tell everyone else who is going bald to shave it since you waited too and were too lazy to research information on how to save your own hair.

For this main reason I haven't done it hair is important as phuck especially if you take pride in your aesthetics and appearance, I used to take an hour doing my hair in high school when it was thick as phuck I had a dragonball z type hair style everyone used to say my hair looked like flames, believe it or not hair changes your appearance, I haven't given up but there is no good solution every option is chit, brb get transplant, few years later lose the hair that was transplanted left with a patchy chit transplant, brb get on propecia lose sex drive and penor function. Shaving your head is really the only somewhat descent option out there until there are better alternatives.

Post a picture of your old hair...I highly doubt it was ever "thick as phuck" - most of my friends who have thick hair still have thick ass hair, it is the guys who had finer/thin hair who went bald.

my hair was thick as phuck as a teen. I'm not balding: my hair is just thin. my hair hasn't receded any, it's just ****ing thin and it fukkin sucks.

derm said I have telogen effluvium and this chit still isn't growing back. I was just using fin and biotin. recently started minox and vitamin d and derma rolling, too.

The once or twice a week recommendations are for dandruff. Nizoral is actually a dandruff shampoo and using it for hair loss is strictly an off-label use. Ketoconazole is not a particularly strong anti-androgen so if you want the shampoo to be effective you really should use it every day.

You would be surprised at how fast hair loss can happen. I started losing my hair at around the age of 24 and I basically went from a Norwood 1 to a Norwood 3 in 5 months. I would have clumps of hair fall out in the shower every day.

Had I not discovered the big 3 I would definitely be completely bald by now.
