it is sad that so many of us old-timers are dropping off the site. i try to stick around and i'm continuing to work out, but i miss the camaraderie we used to have the how we'd challenge each other to be better and learn more from each other. there is great wisdom at this site that we're losing every day.
i loved you as a mod but more as a brother in iron, bill. i understand you don't want to stick around to be a mod but i sure hope you come back one day and see how much you've meant to so many people, and decide to stick around as a fellow worn out old bugger with the rest of us. <3

I wanted to say hello.
I'm sure by now you've almost gotten used to not spending that extra time on bb.com and devoting your energies in more worthwhile endeavors. Taking a step back from here was difficult for me, but a break allowed me to see the bigger picture as I'm sure it has for you.
I just want what is good for you Will. If being absent from here is working for you please continue.
If, like me, a complete exodus isn't sitting well with you considering the # of years of investment into this "place" please feel free to visit with us.

I'm not around as much as I used to be, but when I come in, first place I go is to check on Bill's journal. Sad to see your news Bill. You've been an inspiration for me since I started following you early on after joining. I've learned so much from you and the knowledge/wisdom I've gained through your journal and other posts is simply immeasurable.
Respect and understand the decision. I only visit Equipment and O35 so I suppose I'm sheltered from much of the stuff you would encounter as a moderator.
Hope to see you back here someday and hope all is progressing as usual.

I'm another one that doesn't come around much anymore but when I do, I always check here to see if Bill is back. Hope all is well Bill

Help
Hi. I was searching for the exersice chart for the parabody ex350, but anyone want to help me get back in shape? I was originally 130, now I'm 150. Maybe suggest a meal plan. I just need some motivation and focus on overall health. I'm short, so I dont want to get bulky, just lean long, beautiful muscle.

Saw this come up in my sub'd threads! Bill want to extend well wishes also. Hope you see this and that you are enjoying your time these days.
Life it good all the way around on this end. I too still think of the advice you gave me. All I can say is 'thanks' for setting me on the path. I remember I made some thread when first coming here like'..... "I eat a good diet and get plenty of protein, what kind of supplements would you guys recommend for gaining mass?" . Yep....I was one of them!
Your advice prompted me to track my intake for the first time ever. Which...imagine that, what I was actually eating on a daily basis was not even close to what I thought!
Anyway, I can laugh now. Miss all the daily food updates. My wife laughs at me when I take pictures of what I eat. But your food always made me hungry!

Be well Bill, sad to see you step away but with the site becoming over run with the sub forum misc and its toxic garbage. Hope to see you come back soon

Not sure who may see this; maybe no one since the hundreds of posters with whom I once shared this journal along with my previous two maxxed-out journals has long-since been reduced to only a few current posters on this now-sad website. Everything here is pretty much irrelevant at this point, but I still felt compelled to close out my involvement here while I still had the chance.
First of all, thanks to the many who commented here concerning my contribution to this site over the years; your sentiments have not fallen on a deaf ear, nor will I ever forget any of you. My only goal for posting---and then moderating---on this site was always to try to help others find what I've found in bodybuilding and its associated lifestyle. Additionally, my goal was to help maintain a high level of integrity---overseeing of posting of correct and appropriate information and guidance---in the various training/nutrition-related forums.
I left this site 3 years ago after the ability to effectively moderate was taken away in an ill-conceived effort to maintain forum "traffic." As I predicted then, this resulted in entire subforums becoming blanketed by page after page of spam and off-topic nonsense posts, with no tools left to stop any of it. Most knowledgeable posters then left the forums in frustration rather than attempting to post amidst the BS. Additionally, pleas from both moderators as well as regular posters to fix broken forum functions have been ignored for years, compounding the problems. From time to time, I've logged in to see if there had been any positive change but always left again in disappointment.
BBdotcom was, at one time, the top source of training and nutrition information to be found anywhere on the internet. Out of over 300,000 forum-based websites, prior to around 2018, its traffic numbers ranked around 20th; last time I bothered to check, it was at about 8700th. I seriously wonder why site ownership hasn't long-since pulled the plug but suspect that might not be too far off, especially considering the two recent forum collapses.
To any of you still here who shared with me my three journals, thanks for contributing; we had a good run back then. I wish you all the best; perhaps we'll meet again at some place down the road.No brain, no gain.

We did have a good run. I appreciate all the interaction we had in the journal section here over the years, until my 6 year ban. LOL.
You didn't mention if you're still lifting. I hope you are. Me and Lisa have a home gym now, finally and are still lifting regularly.
All the best to you.

Blast from the past in my email…this explains a lot, and why the site went to ****e. I wasn’t as important as you by far, but I did have a place in the community at one time. Pretty much left about 2 1/2 years ago when all the volatile political stuff was running rampant. I’ve tried to pop in on occasion, but rarely find much to comment on…or even read…anymore, and since few “know” me anymore, and comments I have made went ignored.
It’s a real shame too, because ******** is pretty horrible. Full on nothing but selfies and whenever advice is asked or given it is the WORST load of poop I’ve ever read. On the O35 forum, we had pretty much gotten rid of all the misinformation, and discussions had turned to things rooted in fact that could be used for real progress.
Oh well…end of an era. Now I know why the place went to crap.

It's like a reunion in here!
My brother, you exemplify dedication consistency, pragmatism and work. Although we don't hear from you much (ghost reps) its always been nice to know that ironwill keeps trukkin' on. I feel the same way about the negative changes here. 1 cannot fight the hordes twisting and perverting what once was a good and noble cause. At times, it is best to retreat to known and welcome territory and just stay away from them/it. Thereby, preserving our own morality and ethics that we hold dear.
Some times the best way to fight, is to not fight at all.
To stand true to your virtues and beliefs that so few of the younger generations understand.
I applaud your service here, respect your friendship and appreciate the many lessons you have imparted upon me. Lessons not just about training or nutrition, but lessons on what it takes to be a man of honor.
My PM box is always open to you.

While glad to hear you are doing OK, it's sad if this is your last and farewell post.
I've been training at home almost whole life except the first few years therefore all my friends, who still keep lifting to this day, I have found here in this site. As you mentioned, many have already left the forum but still some are around here. Always I treasure their friendships and insights they share and I feel lucky to have made my decision to join the membership of Bodybuilding.com forums many years ago. This site and friends I've met are as good as those in real life.
And you are one of the best treasures I ever have in this life.
Please feel free to post whenever you can and share good things in your life with us.
Thanks Bill for everything, take care and merry Xmas to you and your family. *bow*🌺 Lauren Brooks Kelly (snailsrus) - Jul 25, 1991 – Jan 29, 2022
