Going to step away for a bit. What I bring to this site as a moderator is no longer wanted nor needed at this time. If this current climate changes before the ship completely sinks, I'll be back.
Of course I'll continue to train as consistently hard and heavy as I am able, as I've been doing since May of 1993, and fully expect all of you to do the same.

For what it's worth, you are wanted and needed especially this time, as a friend and as our big brother. That's all I want you to know. *bow*

Dunno what this is about, as i haven't been active here for awhile, but that's a damn shame. OTOH maybe a break will be good for you and a wake up call to the forums to get their **** together.

Bill, you are an inspiration to so many of us, hopefully it is just for a bit.
Bodybuilding is much more than an hour in the gym a few days a week---it's a lifestyle that changes all your perceptions about how to live, eat, and rest. It feeds the mind as much (and sometimes more so) than the body.

Man of Iron
I will miss you on the forums, and all of your fantastic insight. I am more new here, and you were one of the first mods I came into contact with that was a true inspiration, and a willing, helpful voice of reason here. You will be missed, and I am hoping that at some point you will come back to us. Thank you for everythingDon't wish for it, work for it! "One More"

I was wondering where you have been...and found this.
First I want to thank you for everything. You taught me a lot, and your knowledge, time, inspiration, and patience on theses forums is legendary.
That said...I canβt blame you. Iβve been hopping around on forums, and itβs very discouraging. I stay away from the cesspool that is the misc...but I have to admit Iβm a little embarrassed to be on this site just by mere association with that sub-forum. As far as the stuff about actual lifting and fitness, it seems people have gotten even more ignorant, impatient, and stubborn.
Repeating the same basic fundementals over and over again gets tiring all by itself...but repeating it over and over to the same people is even worse. 90% of the people on the forum are too lazy to do any work on their own, research or lifting, and they expect immediate maximum results with minimal work...and they like to argue endlessly with good advice.
I myself used to like looking for people I could help with my experience...but the reward of actually getting through to ONE person isnβt worth the endless, wasted, thankless effort of all the repetition and ignored posts. All the while needing to discourage bro-science with people who just like to argue and troll purely for the fun of it.
But hey, youβve probably single handedly helped more people on these forums than anyone else. So, I hope you come back, at least to the O35...eventually. Until then, good lifting you old fuk!

1st off, glad to see you're doing OK, as I've noticed you missing over the past few weeks.
That said, I'm sure you're doing what's best for you, and though as mentioned, you'll be missed (already have), I won't say "sorry" for your decisions.
I will say I hope maybe things will change in the future.
Best of luck IW!

This place was a huge part of my life, my recovery and guiding my new direction in being a more complete and reliable person. You played a big role in the beginning as you well know, answering all sorts of messages and offering constant support. All the best Bill and thanks for all you did to help me on this new path. Your advice didn't always fall on deaf ears, a lot of us will remember your guidance

I want/ed you to be a mod for the experienced no bullsh*t approach.
But there is no sense for you to expose yourself to such negativity online when IRL you deserve a peaceful existence.
I agree with your step away, and you might even find there is little here to come back to but idiocy.
Has it ever changed for the better?
No, it just gets worse through the years.
How many scandals have we seen here?? Too many. From t-shirts in courthouses to FBI raids to forum members cheering on a suicide (RIP CandyJunkie). We have seen too many things that cannot be unseen thanks to bb.com and our participation here.
This battle cannot be won, so it shouldn't be fought.
I'm in.
I support you, Will...not some company. Do what's best for you.
If you chose not to return I must say this, I respect and appreciate you. You have brought wisdom and class to us and have never backed down on your principles. I admire that.
However, you have been a beacon of good faith and information on this site, and those that join after you leave will never have had the honor as I have to be the recipient of your experience and wisdom.
Regardless of your decision, I stand with you.

I just found this after searching for a reason that I haven't seen you post in a while. Hope you're doing well and I hope you find it in your heart and soul to come back again. When the ship is sinking that's when we need people like you to stand up and bring calm, wisdom, and order to the crowd.
All it takes is consistency, effort, proper nutrition, good programming, and TIME.
Don't be upset with the results you didn't get from the work you did not do.

Hey Bill, I totally respect your decision but I would be remiss if I didn't say I will miss your input. You have helped many along the way, myself included. Take care and hope to see you back soon..
