Yes I would like to, Have done that in Wales, GB for a few days, apart from the hunting part, felt so free and exciting knowing I'm all alone in a cabin, I did have a phone on me obviously though it had no signal, and I had my laptop again no signal but I just sat there inside with the rain beating down on the cabin while I watched House with a cup of tea... one of the best feelings ever.
Would definitely do.
EDIT: You feel so free and so independent, also I felt a lot less depressed as I wasn't swamped by toxic media reminding me of people dying every 5minutes.
Actually had time to think without having advertisements and whatnot shoved down my throat also.

I'd probably need a few friends and gain some experience before I just did it. Would be fun to do for a few months to at least try it out though. Probably gain a new found appreciation for modern living.

I am quitting my job in 16 months to do this (not a cabin, but a camper for now) for at least a year, maybe longer if I don't get too bored. Already have land scoped out in the Colorado Springs vicinity. Funding via freelance work.
