Those with the highest of rep powers are treated like royalty and given power over the population. (mods)
Then you have the filthy rich miscers who have at least 20k+ reps. They either have 20,000+ posts, or "know somebody." These users usually grasp the attention of the misc society. They can post a thread about anything and get 5+ pages. No one negs them for fear of retaliation. Almost all users who are filthy rich have an AVI.
Then there are the miscers who have 10k to 20k reps. These users are the upper class of the misc. They are generally very popular, and their usernames are usually easily identifiable. Some celebrity trolls have achieved this success, (Germanic), only to turn their success into poverty later on. Some trolls just can't handle the fame. Most upper class miscers have an AVI.
Then we have the upper middle class miscers with 5k to 10k rep power. They have some power, but are one mod neg from being sent back to rep power poverty. About 65% of upper middle class users have an AVI.
Middle class miscers have 2.5k rep power to 5k rep power. They contribute to the forum with funny pictures, drawings, memes. You can find a troll or two with this rep power, but typically these miscers are earning their reps through posting pictures of half naked women. ABout half of middle class miscers have an AVI.
Lower Middle class miscers have a rep power of 1k to 2.5k. The only ones who fear them are the lower classes. You usually don't recognize these posters usernames, as they tend to blend in with the population. About half of lower middle class miscers have an AVI.
Then you have the lower class. These users are living rep to rep. They have a rep power between 1, and 1k. They struggle to survive and gain reputation due to their non-relevance to society. They must work hard for every rep, for one misstep, can send them on the misc streets. About 40% of users have an AVI.
Last and definitely least, you have the homeless miscers. These users are RED. No one takes them seriously, and they are usually just terrible trolls. Users see comments or threads by a red and usually just ignore them. Most homeless miscers had no AVI, or a fake AVI.
In B4 OP is a lower class miscer.

The rep system is like classes in society.
It's when you lose hope for tommorow, that you have lost hope for today.

Lol homeless
Don't be so quick to throw away your life. No matter how disgraceful or embarrassing it may be, you need to keep struggling to find your way out until the very end.

We are the 99% guys, we have to stick together.
Last year I spent more money on spilled liquor in bars than 99% of miscers make in a year.

this is totally false. I was a reputable poster here. Never troll and always posted good information.
Then I made a topic expressing my opinion about police. One of the mods here (who's a cop) mod negged me because he didn't like it.
so being red isn't indicative of people who are just "trolling"

Amazing post. In some ways it shows you how getting a rep power that is high to some extent requires the same skills to get that one sweet job or promotion. You can't "speak your mind" all the time because that is controversial and controversy can go either way, you have to go with the flow.
Good post OP. Lets get you that raise.

Middle class checking in. At one time 1k+ reps was enough to earn you a spot in 1st class, SRS. Rep inflation has completely changed that. Things like SRT threads, rep circles among the upper class, and mod reps for sale on the streets have drastically decreased the value of a rep. Furthermore these activities have created an astronomical gap between the rich and poor--it is quite common for a rags to riches miscer who hits the 10k mark to abruptly accelerate into extreme rep wealth at a much faster rate than they experienced before.

it's a good post but there's a few oversights.
it doesn't take post:rep ratio into account. someone with 3k posts and 12k rep power to me is more elite than someone with 25k posts and 12k rep power.
also, it doesn't scratch the surface of how high-rep members generated these reps. the idea that guys with a few k get their reps solely "from posting pictures" (wtf?) is pretty naive.
it also doesn't take into account how long someone's been registered. if you registered in 2008 and you have 15k posts 15k reps there's nothing special about that really, that only makes sense. someone with 15k reps in less than a year is clearly in a different class.
^case in point
