you can CLEARLY see, and i mean outside of LIGHTING effects, that kai was DEFINITELY fatter this year. Anyone who thinks he should have won is out of their ****ing minds. Take off the tin-foil hats you morons, I'm a huge kai fan and would love to see him deservingly beat phil, but it wasn't even close.

let me know when judges start determining conditioning by looking at the calves.
glutes are not really worse than kai's imo, maybe slightly. but wolf's hamstrings detail are beyond the margin for glute comparison IMO. either way, kai is night and day softer in comparison to the rest of the competitors in that photo excluding wolf

Wolf's hams were sharper than Kai's, but Kai's glutes were sharper than Wolf's. They both had the softest lower bodies in the top group. That doesn't really change the result of who got first place, by simply acknowledging that Wolf also had softness in the lower body.
No. For the millionth time, the lighting is different. Whenever there are more shadows(that's all that black area you can see), it makes the competitors look more cut and separated. Notice that in places from the 2012 pics, there is darkness between the muscles, whereas in the 2013 pics the color of the skin stays the same....that's because there's more light hitting him in those places, so fewer shadows.
There are glimpses of the new shots where some parts are a little more striated. No way in hell that would happen at all if he was truly softer this year, imo. People typically have their same trouble spots come in last. That's not really the type of thing that changes for an individual.
Abs tighter in front lat spread, chest just as striated, biceps more striated in the front double bi - that wouldn't be possible if he was softer this year, given that the lighting was brighter.

More mass in your context does not mean more FAT mass, lol. Ronnie was always leaner than jay and he out muscle massed him as well. If people talk about competitors like, "oh he just came in a little bigger this year to play the size game." No, he came in fatter and less conditioned. This strategy has pretty much NEVER worked and I don't understand how people still think it's some sort of deliberate winning strategy.

The thing is, sometimes can be hard for some people to tell the difference between having a few more pounds of fat to shed, or if it's just water. You gotta be really in tune with how a person looks when they're lean but full, or when they're just not lean enough. Imo, someone who isn't lean enough is probably Cedric McMillan. Kai was also not lean enough this year. The cuts on the new pics don't seem as deep, whereas on Phil's pics they do - they're just saturated with light, but on closer inspection the cuts go far in...that effect just isn't there with Kai, just looks plain softer overall and doesn't flow quite as well as last year. Maybe maybe Kai and George legitimately thought Kai would be able to be in contest shape at that bodyweight.
