I'm in Canada where there is virtually no gun culture so I have a bad point of reference but I think the idea of carrying a gun around in rural america is fine. Carrying a gun around at your local wal-mart though just seems unneccessary. I'm not against you having a gun on you but open carry seems like attention whoring. Even what you said about loving the looks on their faces etc. means you do it partly to get a reaction. Which is fine, just as long as you acknowledge you don't have to open carry but you do for reasons that go beyond "its faster to pull out this way".

Wouldn't a crazy guy target you first by seeing your gun?

We don't have open carry here in Florida. When I worked at a gun shop I open carried one of my many 1911 pistols. No one ever looked at me strange. LOL
Speak on it OP.
I prefer to be around good people who are armed. I now conceal all the time to abide by the law. Though I do like the element of surprise it gives.
I wouldn't mind living in an open carry state either.
Good men and women with guns are not the problem. As we well know."Johan tells me that your luggage, is the luggage of the poor."

Most likely an attacker would wait until nobody with a gun was present, then start the attack.
Which is actually how it has happened before (armed robbery crew opted not to go in because two guys with openly carried pistols were eating breakfast)
But maybe you have an example of what you are asking about, happening?

Wow cowboy, calm your farm. i have my own opinion about concealed/open carry, i was asking op why he thinks it's necessary. and no i'm not anti-gun... i hope you're not a gun owner.. you're very irrational and immature brah... ... have a good day.
Can you please shut the f*ck up? you're in every gun thread crying that the only people aloud to talk about guns have to be in usa.- Traditional wet shaving crew

All the posturing aside in the OP, the thread was made worthy by the introduction/usage of "kookababble".
Well played OP.
