Ya prolly gonna have to put on about 20 pounds to make it easier bro. I know that's everybody's answer for everything but being tall sucks ass when it comes to benching especially if you have long ass ape arms.

OP does a lot of heavy overhead work. Push press and so forth with a ton of weight. I've also heard koklov presses have a lot of carryover to bench.

Thanks for the response. It does suck having long arms, but I'm determined to bench 400 by the end of November. It seemed like going up ten pounds per week was working fine 'till I hit 390.

Ya cuz there just comes a time when your height/weight starts fukkin with you pushin much more weight. That's when it starts gettin tricky and can take a long long time to achieve what you want.

That's all I've heard it called. Keep in mind I'm a complete newb when it comes to powerlifting. I've been at it for right at 3 months. What does BTN stand for? I'd rather call it something that kind of describes the lift. Plus, I never know which Russian to credit it to...

Edit: BTN = Behind the neck? Do you not put the hands as wide as possible on the koklov press?

your setup looks goodbut you've gotta stop that bounce stuff with the bar. That is a very bad habit and you will not get stronger by doing it. Other than those tips you have good potential.

Agree with you , but I recently changed up how I bench in competition and this has been working for me, I have the same style benching as dan green where it sinks and blows up, a lot of style May or may not work for others but I find this to be something to has increased my paused bench and explosive bench

I love overhead pressing and it's something that helped me , I'm in the 400s overhead press and lately been doing a lot of rep work in the 315 to 380 pounds , ranging from 5-10 reps

How easy was it? Would you say that you had at least 4 more in the tank?
It'd be like staying fat while running marathons because it's more impressive to finish a marathon when you're overweight. It might be impressive in the short run, but in the long run it just doesn't make any sense. ~breathinglife
