To me his overall physique was obviously better than everyone else's. He just amazing LOOKING muscles and lots of them. He has a tremendous shape and his conditioning is fantastic. No weak spots at all.

The argument for him not winning is that Kai was bigger and that makes it ok that he was off and he should still win being off, because he is big.
So yes Phil clearly won.Spike92 is 15.
^ place this in your sig to remind the world that Spike92 is indeed 15 and will never be anything other than 15.

Phil was in slightly better shape but gave up a lot of size, Wolf really exposed his narrowness in back double bi and front lat spread and kai exposed an overall lack of thicknes and size especially in wheels (legs). The judges chose narrow and slightly better condition. In Coleman's days it was more about size and Wolf and Kai would have placed ahead. It was in no way a dominat win, if the title had been awarded to Wolf or Kai it would have been just as acceptable as Heath being awarded the title.
Phil looked ok but really has not improved since his 2011 win which where he destroyed everyone without any question. Kai and Wolf are both bringing more muscle to the stage year by year and their is only so much that the Heath foundations can take.

Right on I definitely agree Phil came in 2nd.

in the truly "relaxed" state, Phil's separation is still very clear....overall, his muscle separation is as impressive as his size balance...
the only thing on Phil that still lags a little behind , is chest, but he is so overwhelmingly muscular that you don't notice in most poses...
Plenty of legendary BBers had to settle for 2nd place many times in their career: Kai is not alone in this department....Lift as MUCH as you can, for as MANY reps as you can,
while in complete control of the exercise.

I agree that Phil won, he had everything.
Kai as big as he was, same old story, soft from the back.
I can't believe he played the size game yet again, and didn't just come in 10 lbs lighter. What was the point of staying lean all year round if you're going to hold water on the most important night of the year.
Yes he would have won if he was dry.

Phil won no questions asked.... His upper body grew proportionately, I may be speaking out of my ass but his hamstrings from the side peak more so than in previous years. His conditioning is on par with any of his best appearances. He is slowly but surely adding each yeah and if you look at his previous contest pics it's obvious and this is very apparent in the looks of muscle just hanging off him almost Ronnieesque. I believe his appearance tonight is the best thing we've seen since a prime Ronnie. He will carry the torch a couple more years at least.

srs I thought kai was winning everything and destroying phil
this was going off the laggy stream though, but I'm still not sure what exactly I wasn't seeing that you all were so obviously able to see. Looking at hd pics phil definitely looks better, but in the side by sides I thought kai was crushing. why?

Man If you know bodybuilding, the champ always has advantage, this has been the same in every Olympia for the last decade, where have you been. Did you think it would change this year?
The champ always wins unless he is REALLY off or there's someone MUCH BETTER. As Kai Green is equal, or something slightly better than Phil, that still doesn't put him over the champ.

people should read this post several times until it has burned into the permanent memory cells....lol.....this is the history of the Olympia, and it is their choice to do it this way: you must be WAY FAR better than the champ to unseat him....it is the way it has been and probably always will be...Lift as MUCH as you can, for as MANY reps as you can,
while in complete control of the exercise.

He CLEARLY won....but NOT by much.
Clearly, being that Kai showed noticeably less conditioning than Phil and f**ked up his pre-stage glaze/color.
Not by much because Kai definitely out masses Phil and all he needs to do is fix the aforementioned two problems."There are no victims, only volunteers. You volunteer by looking uncertain and afraid. You volunteer by being, as grass-eaters invariably are, unprepared to confront the hazards of life." - Col. Jeff Cooper
