It's not that he's unpopular, it's just that he's currently ahead of the likes of Wolf, Branch(lol), Cutler, Kai etc. and all of these guys have been around for a bit longer than Phil and are massive fan favourites.
Hard to be popular when the bbers below you have huge followings. Especially Kai. Heck, as much as I acknowledge Phil's achievements, I just find it much easier to support Kai.

It's been said before, but you can't just edge out the reigning champ. It's not right, but it is what it is. The only thing Phil had him on was slightly better conditioning. Looks like Kai needed about 2 more weeks and he would've had that down.

Evan might be newer to the pros, but he's been known for a while. I remember first hearing about Phil from his Flex 2005 cover. Evan had an MD cover in 2006.
But I agree, Evan is more likable to me. When someone refers to himself as "The Gift" to bodybuilding and that someone's name isn't Sergio Oliva or Ronnie Coleman, I have to lol.

ITT stealth knows the most about womens classes but couldn't see the difference in Phil & Kai.. Kai's muscularity in the finals was years beyond Phils and the conditioning was just edged out by Phil. Think you are overreacting when saying 'Kai was nowhere close to winning'

Hope you followed the cardinal rule and didn't have your face in the dick pic, but based on the foolishness you've exhibited in your threads recently, you're probably like holding your dick with one hand and your social security card in the other and holding a piece of paper in your mouth with your name, address and phone number"

Kai was noticeably softer than Phil. Deal with it or get some prescription eyeglasses. Kai was placing lower in years past at the Olympia where he was bigger than Phil but not as hard. What would make you, him, or anyone else think that going backwards would put him ahead of Phil this year?
I love Kai, but it wasn't even close this year. It was SUPER close last year, and even though I felt Phil deserved the win last year, I wouldn't have had a problem with Kai winning it. This year was a totally different story. Phil was winning since prejudging and held on to that top spot the whole way through. In fact, Wolf was pushing Kai, and I had Wolf in 2nd at prejudging with Kai edging him out for 2nd by the end of the finals.

People get far too emotional over this (and many other sports) in my opinion.
I used to get far too emotional watching MMA years ago but I realised it was crazy, actually loosing sleep over how mad I was that my favourite guy had lost to a guy I hated.
