I'll play devil's advocate...Some people respect lifts more so when they're done naturally and feel it's more impressive or shows more heart to push along "unassisted". Also if the dude asking the question ends up competing against the OP at some point, he might want to know if the "playing field is level". None of this matters to me but I know why he asked and I don't deny that there are people out there that think in this manner.

EDIT: Out of curiosity, why the throwing of the bar at the ground after the deadlift? I can possibly understand dropping it at the top, but what's the benefit of throwing it at the ground? Not patronizing you, seriously inquiring.★★★USF MISC CREW★★★
