Very sweet looking puppy! I lean more towards adoption and rescue so no I do not know any BT breeders. Sorry. If you look on Petfinder you can find plenty needing homes there. If you get one from a rescue that is being fostered you may very well get one who is already potty trained and has basic manners. I put a lot of effort into training my fosters. First, because well trained dogs make my life easier especially when you have a few dogs at a time. Second, it makes them more appealing to possible adopters.
If you still want to purchase a puppy from a breeder be sure it is a reputable breeder. A couple of ways to know a reputable breeder are
1.) they have the proper paperwork such as health certificates. Breeders should be testing for issues known to that breed. For example blue Heelers are known for hip issues so I would not accept a puppy from a bloodline of dogs with hip issues.
2.) they will accept the dog back if it does not work out because they have more concern of the animals well being than making money.
3.) they do not allow puppies to leave before 8 weeks. If a breeder sells puppies before 8 weeks they are more concerned with getting the puppy out the door to make their money than the puppies health.
4.) they are registered with the AKC or CKC. There is no reason a reputable breeder would not be.
Do not buy a puppy from the paper or store. You have no idea the conditions that these puppies are coming from. If you look up puppy mills you will see why I say this.

I am not a morning person, I get up as late as humanly possible to still get to work on time, so I prepare my food the night before and put it in the fridge. Which means half of the times I forget it in the fridge and the other half, of course, on the counter...
Oh and jimmies rustled when I finally do remember to take my food, put it in my gym bag and... the container opens and dumps tilapia juice all over my clothes.Follow my 2018 competition prep here:

Hey, it's Hump day guise.. what have you humped so far? I've humped a tree, the arm rest on my couch and the air while doing power snatches earlier. Like my coach says, you can't get a good 2nd pull on Olympic lifting w/o trying to fukk the living **** out of the air.
Yeah, if it's already prepared it's OK if i forget because it's in the fridge and will be OK to eat later. But It usually goes from the stove to the tupperware. One time I came home to find out that I left my gas burner on.. I was away for about 10 hours! Hello gas bill!!!!
lol, what you did there, I saw it.Sept of Baelor was an inside job. Wildfire can't melt stone masonry.

hey Una
alright used car salesmen are a pain in my azz lately
test drove a car on Friday and could feel tires rubbing and it pulled to right
so it needed alignment work and new tires
passenger side mirror was cracked
so I tell this slick douchebag that I want it fixed first before we discuss price
so I get a call on Monday that the work was done
I drive back over test drive again
nope..lied to me
only thing fixed was the mirror
when I get back to the dealership I find this summabich
with my truck door open climbing in my truck
claims he was checking the mileage
that's real hard to do without a key in ignition
I told him get your hands off it
its going to my son
so then he walks over to car grinning asking me how I liked that the mirror was fixed
I said what I don't like is being lied to
this was a gigantic pain in butt waste of my friggin time
do I look like a patient woman to you?
you got til Friday to do the alignment with four new tires
guarantee the work done in writing or don't bother to call me
you can sell it the next poor schmuck that comes down the road

My jim-jams are severly rustled. I just got a new phone and I've been recording some of my workouts to check out my form and lo and behold my deadlift form sucks utter chit. I mean, while doing them I knew they weren't perfect, but I didn't think I was setting myself up for blowing out my back - which *appears* to be my goal at the moment.
Ugh, I guess in order to improve you gotta start somewhere, right?
Still, rustled jim-jams...This universe is an uncaring and amoral place. It owes you nothing and you owe it nothing. If you can wrest happiness from it, at any point, then cherish it. Revel in that happiness.

Yeah, was wondering when someone was gonna mention regarding your arms. Bushmaster seemed to cover it well. I was warned about that as well cause I find that based on the positioning at the beginning of the lift, I have a tendency of bending my arms in order to get down low enough with my legs. Now I use that as an indicator that I'm not pulling my shoulders back or keeping my chest up before the lift since if I do those two things, there won't be a bend in my arms.

Well like Bushmaster said, it may not be a concern now...but at the heavier weights it may lead to injury.
And I find that keeping the arms straight is easy to correct since it is at the starting position and once you lift the weights, they will stay straight. Keeping the shoulders back thru the movement, I find harder to do...but that helps with the rest of the back form.Workout Log / Chat thread...Embrace the Dragon: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=169711903

Yeah, when I finally got a membership to a gym where it was easier to do dead lifts and squats...I tried a few months working on my form and as soon as I would try to load the weight, I would see something wrong and have to start back from scratch to see if I could correct it (not knowing what the form should really look like since so much conflicting info online). Eventually gave up and joined a hardcore Power Lifting gym. No mirrors so you can't even check your own form...but plenty of people there that are familiar with lifting a lot heavier than most and they will check your form for you and let you know if it is good or what you have to watch out for. The best part is if you are doing reps, as soon as they see you messing up your form, they will tell you so you can correct during your reps rather than having to post a vid online and wait a week before correcting it.

There is a power lifting gym near where I live, the trouble is that the only time I can really lift is in the butt-crack of dawn (kids, work, etc). I'd love to have someone who knows what they are doing check my form IRL, but no one lifts at my hour AND the people at my gym don't really do compounds (no squats or deads - except VERY occasionally).

lower back pain and injury is a common thing with deads
usually because of someone doing the herky jerks
or trying to pull too heavy with bad form
when I say drop the weight I mean drop it down
for a woman I would tell her to put bar up on blocks and just practice with the bar if she needs to
until it just becomes habit...like standing up
no humpbacks allowedLast edited by latebloomingmom; 09-27-2013 at 08:27 AM.

Yeah, that is rough. Although I would still see about that PLing gym if you ever get a day where you can hit it during their hours. I mean the first day I went to the PLing gym I go to, they didn't charge me and critiqued my form. Honestly, the owner didn't expect to see me again after that (normally over 50% of the people that go there never return after the first day). But you may be able to get more feedback.

Yeah, the first day I went there, I couldn't do the 45 lb plates, so they had me in the rack with the bar positioned properly with lighter weights until I could start getting the form down. Then they had me working with pads (under the weights) so that I could slowly ramp up while I was improving my form. It wasn't like I didn't have the strength to do a solid dead lift...I just couldn't do it with the correct form with that weight. But quickly went from not being able to do 135 lbs to 180 lbs in a couple of months and I know I can add more weight to that. Again, got to start somewhere so need to take the ego out of it so you don't hurt yourself.
Another thing I found helpful was watching other people's dead lift videos especially when they max out. Cause at max weight, form will tend go bad. But I like it cause then it enables me to relate what they are doing to what I am doing so I can pay attention and see if I am making the same mistake with my form.Workout Log / Chat thread...Embrace the Dragon: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=169711903

Jimmies are rustled about how much I pigged out this weekend. To the point of being physically sick almost all night. Said pigging out included
- Pizza for a colleague's good bye party
- Ice cream twice
- A sizeable slice of strawberry rhubarb pie
- A sizeable piece of tiramisu
- Home made pesto
- Cheese. Lots of it
- Wine
And this is what I remember.Follow my 2018 competition prep here:

Listening to co-worker talk about her ex husband saying she isn't jealous because he has a new girlfriend. Oh really????? Not to mention the fact that she wants to pick and choose who he has around the kids and within 1 week of her leaving him she had another man living in the house with her and the kids. SMH! Hypocrite much??

When people can't pick up after themselves and you're left to do it.
- Your mindset influences your outcome. It's time to take out phrases like "I can't" or "I don't have time" and replace them with phrases like "I will make the time" and "I will keep working at it until I find a way that works." Success starts with the right mindset and believing in yourself and your dreams.

Oakland as a city rustles my jimmies. I took a walk to find some lunch (I hate work cafeteria) and ended up in a pretty nice sushi place, good lunch, nothing wrong with it. Except that right in front there was a seedy liquor store with a comforting "No loitering. No urinating" sign right in front. And across the intersection, mind you, we are talking lunch time here, at the bus stop, a hobo stroking his dingdong right in broad daylight. WTF?
