When performing exercises like Romanian deadlift , rack pulls , squat . Should I squeeze the glutes at the top of of the movement? (I never did) .. or they will work no matter what I do.?

I do. It can't hurt to engage them a bit more. I've noticed I perform the lift better when I engage my core/glutes and often can lift heavier too
when in doubt, squeeze your glutes, even when in prison ^_^
It definitely helps, at least personally, and you certainly wouldn't lose anything by trying it out. It helps a lot of people with their form, too.
