Any good gyms in the Renton area? I'm moving soon and yelp mainly shows crossfit gyms. I'm not looking for a group or boot camp gym, just somewhere I can lift. The nearest Gold's is in Issaquah, is LA Fitness in The Landing good or are LA Fitness just another form of a wussy Planet Fitness?

I workout at The Landing LA Fitness and it is a good gym, however, it's really crowded.
Also, I've heard people say Nate Robinson (NBA) works out there, but I've never seen him there before.

Slowly learning the area, where's the Highlands? I checked out the one on Petrovitsky Rd and it looks great, I'll decide between the two next month.

Also, signed a lease for $2 per square foot, cot dayum. 3 locations around the $1.20-$1.50/sq-ft range I spoke to about pets (specifically about allowed breeds) told me in person while signing that huskies were on their restricted breed list. Still found an ok location, can't wait for that cross country drive.

I'm assuming he is talking about the Issaquah Highlands in the eastside. I lived in Discovery heights apartments for a year, then moved into a condo down the road. I like living on the eastside, not as many places for nightlife, but I don't mind driving to Bellevue or Seattle.

What salary would you guys say is sufficient for a single person to live comfortably up there? I'll have no student loans and hoping to live close enough to Amazon where a car would not be necessary.

apartments near SLU are 1k-2k for 1 bedrooms depending on how nice it is, asssuming no carpayments and stuff, u can probably get away with 2.5k+ net salary per month and live comfortably

Is it possible to leave in the SLU area without a car? I will look to find a place within walking distance to work and would prefer to not have a car but I am uncertain how big of an inconvenience not having a car will be.
