350 this bulk would be sick. I'm only planning on taking the TM run for another few weeks though. Gains are great, but it's taking it's toll. Feeling like I got run over by a train most of the week. Hoping the 4 day thanksgiving break will help. 8+ hours sleep every night, no work stress, good food...

I think they're continuing their search.
They love my technical experience but were concerned about my lack of managing people. Only problem is, the experienced managers have no technical experience. Who knows, I might get a call in 6 months (or even a year lol)

Fun fact- I personally designed and made some test tools for a new customer. They fell in love with them and gave us all their business. Their old tool supplier was the one who interviewed me and nearly hired me. Stealing work right out from under them
not hiring me right away is costing them lmao

Texas Method Week 6: Volume Day

tough session, body is getting beat up on TM. No specific tweaks, just general fatigue, soreness etc. knees, elbows, shoulders get a little cranky on volume day. Feel like sh!t the rest of the week, crawl through recovery day wondering how the fuk I"m gonna do anything with intensity on Friday, and then when the time comes I wreck the top sets.
    Amazing how the program works.

The gains are kickass, but I'm only gonna take it a few more weeks. I can feel it taking it's toll, physically and mentally. My focus during the week (not just in the gym, at work as well) is failing. Hoping the long weekend for Thanksgiving and some extra sleep will give me a nice push to finish the next 2 weeks strong and hit a new max, then it's time to switch it up.

    Squat
    300 5x5
volume PR for 300 pounds. never done anything over 295 for a 5x5 (or more than just a few sets for that matter). Feels good

    Bench
    260 5x5

volume PR for 260. Obliterated these.

To be honest a lot of it is rebound. Before I cut last spring I hit an easy 280x5 bench then a 315 single the week after. I had more progress in me then but was getting overtrained and needed the break

Coming off the cut and adding in all the cals has gotten that bench train rolling again

That's a big volume session Woody .. I'm sure the thought of just knocking out one set of 300 x 5 on squats and 260 x 5 on bench was a big target in itself a few months ago and now you're knocking out 5 x 5. I'm not surprised that it's taking its toll on your body but you look to have added good quality lean mass over the last few months. Do you have a new programme in mind for after TM?

That is one sweet set of numbers my friend.

You sound like you have your training schedule all figured out and you know when to call it quits at the right time.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving and pound down a few calories.

    I know I will.

Dude, you're just killing it on this TM run. Squats looked great. I know that feel when they're tough under the bar, but look easy on video. It's likely because your form stayed on point, you didn't have any of those form breakdowns that start to creep up when it gets real heavy. Your bench progress continues to amaze. At this pace, you're going to be benching 3 plates for 5 reps before I hit it for a single

Prob gonna do a regular old body part split for a few weeks then go from there. Might do a cycle of Cube (I had great luck with that last summer)

Friday 11/28/2014: Texas Method Week 6 Intensity Day

Thanksgiving has come and gone! Ate a bit of turkey, some stuffing, a few dozen dinner rolls then a metric ton worth of brownies, choco chip cookies, apple pie and ice cream. Good sh!t!

We got pounded with about 12" of snow Wednesday night. Spent a good part of Thursday morning cleaning that mess up. Ugh

    Squats
    135 x 5
    185 x 5
    225 x 5
    250 x 1
    285 x 1
    315 x 1
    340 x 5
wrecked em. Easier than last week's 335x5. Had a sweet nosebleed on the last rep lol dman dry air from the wood stove this time of year always gets my nose going at random times

    Bench
    45 x 10
    45 x 10
    135 x 5
    185 x 5
    225 x 3
    250 x 1
    275 x 1
    300 x 5 PR
just obliterated the top set. Bench just has zero signs of slowing down

    Deadlift
    225 x 5
    275 x 3
    315 x 1
    365 x 1
    405 x 5
skipped DLs last week. Decided I'd jump the weight a bit and throw on 4 plates for a few reps. They felt good so i did a set of 5.

    PRs: Back Squat- 410x1 / Front Squat- 320x1/ Bench- 325x1 / Deadlift- 505x1
