    Almond Flour help

    Hello forum.

    I nicked a big bag of almond flour about 7 months ago. Its B.B date is this December. I figured I could try using it as a batter or for frying. I cant find anything online (apart from mozzarella cheese) so I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences.

    So, two things I was going to try (reason I haven't yet is because I cant afford anything. If it goes wrong I have no oil left until next week);

    Using a egg wash and coating broccoli with the almond flour. Im hoping it just makes them crunchy.

    Covering cheddar cheese with egg wash and almond flour and frying it with a fair amount of oil.

    Honestly...I just want something crunchy and bready that I can have. I will try it next week with some cheap red meat but If I dont think of anything for tonight, its eggs and sausages for 5 days running.

    Kai.

    Look up pecan crusted fish recipes and substitute almond flour instead.

    I did it with Broccoli. The flour has no real taste and its very crunchy but it hit the spot. Half a head of brocolli with the coating and I've never been this full without feeling like crap. The brocolli goes soft though and really, really tasty.

    I wont coat them as much next time, but I know it works. I tried it with a bit of cheese but went a bit overboard with the coatings. It needs herbs or something to give it another taste. Smells like popcorn when cookin though, and it really dirties the oil.

    Wife wont let me cook fish
