    Nice ZL1.

    I drove the new 2014 redesign ZL1...now I hate most GM products except Cadillac V's, Vettes, etc. but thanks to them I experienced what a factory car with a 6spd manual transmission feels like when 580hp is going through it.

    Just ridonkulous...I even stalled it going in reverse because I've never driven a car with such an aggressive clutch/flywheel not to mention that much power.

    Just had to come in here and express my interest in all the push-rod awesomeness ITT.

    Any of you LS1 guys find it strange that my oil pressure dropped to nearly 20 psi in stop and go traffic at idle? Searched it over on LS1tech and i'm getting all kinds of different answers.

    I can never remember my 2000 dropping that low and that car had 82k miles on it. This one has 16,3xx and it's stock, I think I might be paranoid but it just caught my attention, maybe time for an oil change

    You should be ok. If you're going off the stock gauges I wouldn't worry, they aren't very accurate or the sender could be getting lazy. Technically you need 10psi per every 1000 rpm so as long as it's not dropping off all the way you should be ok. Or you could be leaking and low on oil, anything else affecting oil pressure would most likely show other symptoms.

    Edit: that is assuming your vehicle isn't very new, I was taking a guess based off of your handle and title. 98-02 Camaro? If not then disregard my post, not sure about other lsx vehicles

    Each has it's purpose and here's why I can't pick one or the other.

    The C6 is more comfortable to drive, faster and looks badass however it's so low and with my splitter and side skirts its almost impossible to get into some parking lots and I don't want to auto-x or road race it because it'll fuk those parts up. The C6 is heavily modded with every bolt on you can imagine, CCW wheels and nitrous.

    The Z06 just has a raw go-cart feel to it that the C6 doesn't replicate. It's just literally a fun car to drive! This one is turning into a track car and I just ordered Pfadt feather light coilovers, heavy sway bars and poly bushing kit so it will handle like crazy. I'm also looking for a set of Mitsu Evo MR seats to swap with the stockers so I can run a harness. I'm not planning on doing any go fast mods to it besides the basics like exhaust, intake and tune. I really need more seat time to improve my skills before I do heads/cam.

    Are those MT ET Streets? If so, how is it in the rain?

    I use to DD some 305/60/15 BFG Drag radials and it was fine in the rain, but this car is making more power and it'll be on a smaller tire so idk.

    When they were new..they did some what Ok in the rain. I don't DD my car so I never got a true feel for them, actually was only in the rain once.

    Texas has some aesthetic plates. I like the all black one with white lettering and star. I'm still running Florida plates since I haven't found a shop that'll let me pass inspection.

    Just picked up this 68 yesterday. Pretty much a streetable drag car...built 383, th400, 12 bolt, full drag suspension with QA1's. If anyone wants it, I'll let it go for $16k.
