To be honest, i would not have bought a mustang before the 2011 model year because of the problems with Winter driving. Previous models, didn't have the best traction control systems in place and lack a limited slip differential so from what i hear it was really easy to loose the back end in snow, or rain, or on wet leaves..

My 2012 V6, with snow tires and all the traction stuff on will still slide through every corner if i wanted it to, or not at all, depends on how much gas i give it. However older mustangs i have heard don't give you much of a choice lol

    Talking

Rwd cars are very difficult to drive in any kind of snow especially if u have no experience. Snow tires, traction control, and abs are your friend. Its possible but you will find out quickly the limitations of your vehicle. Good luck

I've taken an '02 V6 to a ski resort before. It was snowing up in the mountains, not on the two hour drove before them though.

Now I'm always sure to check the weather for the resort before I head out, lol

hood pins. on a modern car they are likely cosmetic but once upon a time they were a failsafe in case your latch couldn't keep the hood in place.

I wrecked at the dragstrip. The car lost control near the finishline and I smacked the wall. Someone said the car that ran before me was leaking oil but the track personnel didn't notice it. Those are non-functional hoodpins. I was bored one day and decided to install these.
