I was going to get my first BMW this upcoming summer. I am focusing on an X3 SUV. To save money, I will be buying a used model. Any tips on how many years old and how much mileage I should be looking for?

2014-2016 BMW X3 xDrive 28i would be economical. The 35i engine is more fun (3.0L Turbo I6 vs 2.0L Turbo I4) if you care about power, and I'd probably trust it more long term than the 4 cylinder, but the 4 cylinder has enough torque for every day driving for sure. I don't know a ton on specific model years and what reliability issues the X3s have, but the engine/transmission are solid (same N26/N55 engine and ZF8 transmission in every other BMW). The 30i and 40i engines are better, but they didn't put them in the X3 until model year 2018.

Big question is how comfortable you are with maintenance/repairs. I think it's easier to just say **** the warranty and find a good independent mechanic to do all the work for cheap, but a lot of people would prefer to have a flat warranty cost and not worry about riskier maintenance/repair costs.

so i did purchase the m6 after i asked m6 vs m4/m3 and now i just wanted to know if anyone has any idea on black friday deals for tires? i just realized i might as well get a deal on new tires..
also, should i matte black it, or matte green?

I don't really mirin other peoples cars unless it's worthy. This is worthy. I would have lol @ you if you gotten an M4. M3 would be cool too but you bought the big boy car M6. Now that i respect. Lots of style, lots of power, because it has a v8. Ahhh nothing like a v8.

Awfukbye... they f*cked up the kidneys on this one... sucks, I like the interior and the overall look.. rear-end couldve been a bit snappier/more agressive though..

Computer box of my 2018 520d has been having issues. Dealership keeps ducking me. Thinking of suing for damages. Car is less than a year old. Those idiots had the audacity to tell me that they needed to bring in a mechanic from Germany simply because the software was in German. How long do I have to wait for this supposed mechanic? One whole year. They were obviously just trying to delay the repair until the warranty expired.

I told them point blank that if I could afford to purchase a 5-series and M2 at the same time, then I would have absolutely no issue flying in an entire battalion of mechanics from Germany if that is what it took. Lo and behold, they found a local mechanic who will be looking at the car in a couple weeks time. Going to barge in there tomorrow and demand a unit replacement regardless.

I have driven and abused crappier cars a fifth of that car's price. Had a Ford Focus, oil change once a year, barely washed, dents all over, driven over the worst sort of terrain both uphill and downhill over hundreds of kilometers at a time, and save for a minor problem with the brake light and head light that car ran smoothly with zero issues the entire time I owned it. Was a hell of a gas guzzler but it was built like a tank.

Screw BMW. Hope my M2 doesn't follow suit.

It reminds me of the Kia stingers random design. Stinger is worse with all the tacky non functional giant plastic vents and chit stuck on in random places, but this is still awful

Those kidneys sloping back make no sense and look retarded, the giant 5 series style headlights look terrible on a smaller car and the weird cut in the bottom of them, it's all terrible.

The f30 was boring and dorky looking but the f80 looked sick, I worry what the new m3 and m4 are going to look like now

The kia stinger is probably the ugliest 4 door to date. I do give props to them for trying to compete with the germans though. The engine and trans seem pretty stout. But god is the car ugly.

Saw a new M3 in marina blue on the highway today when i took my car out. Some odd reason i saw him phucking booking it in the left lane german style, then slowed down to a pause as he got next to me. Driver didn't even look over. I had tinted windows and he didn't and i was waiting for him to try to race me.

He wanted no part of me lol. He knew i would have made him cry. Although car is pretty nice looking. I would definitely get that over an M4.

Why do the M4's sound like ass but the M3 does not? Doesn't it have the same engine?

Same engine in both but if its a newer ZCP they remapped it and it got a comp pack exhaust upgrade

Oh ok that's probably why.

Every M4 i encounter, it's always some 25 year old kid with that STUPID burble, gurgle whatever you wanna call it, tune on it so when he decels it cracks and pops.

I literally saw one M4 do this on the highway for about 2 miles long. Just kept accelerating a little bit so he can let off the throttle and make it crack and pop. It was so phucking stupid.

I mean if it sounded good, like if it had a v8, i would take my phone out to record it.

But the car sounds like PHUCKING ASS. Not a good sounding exhaust note at all. Like you said. Bricks in a blender with some 1980's laser music sound action going on. The phuck are they thinking? lol

V8 is the best.

And i already said i like the M3. I just don't like the M4. They sound terrible and they're slow. That's my opinion. M2 is good too but small, like a girls car.

I don't have an AMG but if i ever went german for a weekend toy, AMG would be it.

Or the new M5. NOW THAT is a real car.
