Sick bruh, what is a race chip? Different than a tune? What car do you have?
And I used E-Sys with an OBD-Ethernet ("ENET") cable hooked up to my laptop. I looked into bimmercode but it doesn't support VO coding (required for coding in anti-dazzle high beams, sport auto transmission on cars that don't have it from the factory, etc.)
I can help with E-Sys if you're trying to use it to code brah

Anyone has the Carly App Pro version?
Apparently, they are changing to subscription and all those who bought the pro version before a certain cut-off date will get the app including all in-app purchase for free for life.
All those who do not have it will have to get the subscription to enjoy the full version.Steam - jinda28

Bought out my leased BMW M235i from the dealer. They are taking forever to get the registration paperwork done (It has been 1.5 weeks) Is this normal or should I contact them?
2006-2008 had the N52 engine. The engine can develop lifter noise and it can be a little annoying. Other than that, the N52 is pretty solid. The M54 before that is also very solid - I think the only issues are cooling system related. Maybe others can pipe in

its the german norm to use racechip now.. it used to be burgertuning
it gets +60hp +80 torque confirmed by dyno (older versions not the new one i have)
my x5 is amazingly fast, i went 60 to 120 in maybe 2 seconds on the highway in comfort mode without even trying to go that fast when some retard was trying to rac eme
instead of going on the mass airflow sensor, it hooks up to the TMAP (turbo)
edit:
can you make a video about the lights? i understand i just wanna see it in action, or link to one if you actually have seen any on YT* Friday Night Miscing Crew *

those numbers are 0-100, not 60-120
this BMW would accelerate 0-60 mph in 4.3 - 4.7 sec, 0-100 km/h in 5.1 - 5.7 sec
thats stock, giving the highest and lowest numbers recorded by the websites
also, its known BMW underrated the numbers they officially give

is math hard for you guys or reading comprehension?
i said like 2 seconds
4.7 + 3-4 seconds is 7.7 seconds
i wasnt being legit when i said 2 ****ing seconds
going from 0-60 in 4-6 seconds and then 60-120 in 2-3 seconds is totally normal for a 500 HP car..
also, that list is wrong and those numbers AGAIN have many variables and are often under or overrated depending on the brand
http://www.automobile-catalog.com/pe...0/audi_s3.html
audi s3 0-160 km/h (s):
11.8
(0-100mph)
your list says it takes 10 seconds for the s3 to go from 60-100mph
the site i listed says it takes 11.8 seconds from 0-100mph* Friday Night Miscing Crew *

Did you even read it? It's 60-100 mph record and you claim your car to run 2 secs from 60-120 which is faster than those in the list.
Not being a nerd about it, I was just curious about your figure. Thats just it.
Yeah, you guys are right, some of those timings seems off.
But still, its really interesting to see an X5 running 60-120 at that time. Since even a 2018 hellcat only get 3.8s 0-60 and 8.1s 0-100. So 60-100 is basically 4.3s for a 700hp car.Last edited by jinda628; 04-09-2018 at 10:15 PM.

Just had a BMW M Perfection Training last week in Germany on the Lausitzring..
I can highly recommend this to you people who don't have the oppertunity to drive on track.
We had 4 groups, 3 M4 groups, and 1 new M5 group.
Drove the M4, I found my goal for the upcoming couple of years to save money for now
Only downside is that it was everthing I wanted, yet the color is a limited edition for Belgium and Luxembourgh market..
Guess I'll be talking to my dealer at that time to have it redone in the color I want..
BMW M4 Competition package, but with the CS forged rims, color: Grigio Telesto
Hnngg.. just not at the 100k+ EUR pricetag..**Dutch Gardening Crew**

You can have your car painted in ANY colour you want through BMW Individual - just spec it up as you want during the order process.
For a laugh, here's a photo of me in my M4 leaving some rubber on the way out of a modified car meet;
I'm shattered he only snapped a photo during the early stages of it as I created a lot more smoke than what's in the photo lol.македонски генетика.

Getting a lot of knocks detected from my bootmod3 flash tune brahs. Quite a few other people running BM3 have been reporting knock as well... to the other BM3 brah in here
What could cause knock? I'm going to try changing the spark plugs, adding E85 to test if its my 93 octane fuel being bad, flashing stock to see if I get knock. Could it be anything else?

Bumping this thread.
Looking at either an F30 328i or 335i. Obviously the N55 I6 would be hnnnnnggggg but I can get a car with more features and lower miles (as well as Estoril Blue in my price range) with the 328i. I've read really great things about the N20 4 cylinder turbo, especially that it is lighter and handles quite well, but wanted some opinions. I can add a downpipe and ECU flash and tune it to around the same stock HP as a 335i. I'm not planning on doing any racing. Only city driving and highway driving.
Looking to spend $18.5k at the absolute maximumLast edited by kovalchuk71; 06-18-2018 at 08:45 PM.

335i > 328i IMO
It will be harder to get into a 335i at that price point, though, and I wouldn't want to end up in a poorly optioned car, so keep that in mind... my top priorities would be M Sport package and Premium package at least. I'm pretty sure Xenon lights are atleast standard on the 335i. Coworker recently purchased a 2013 335i M Sport optioned well for like ~$20k.
Read into timing chain problems on the N20. That is a cost you'll have to factor in when comparing N20 vs N55... about $2k is what I think I've heard.
You'll be dumping $3-4k in parts on your N20 (downpipe, tune, timing chain replacement... charge pipe and intercooler are realistic to expect once you start tuning as well) and you'll still be spending BMW maintenance $$$, but at the end of the day you'll have a modded 328i which won't perform or sound as well as a 335i. The N20 will never sound great, but the N55 actually sounds really damn good with exhaust/tune. Atleast for me, sound is a big part of the overall sport experience, and I usually commute in comfort mode with all my windows up, but the times I do roll my windows down and push it in Sport and hear that exhaust and feel the 500 pounds of torque... makes it worth it.
I had the same debate in this thread when I was shopping and deciding between a 428i and 435i. I drove a 428i M Sport and the N20 is a nice enough motor... perfectly fine especially for a daily driver... but if you're spending the $$$ on a BMW (and all other ownership costs with it) you realistically probably want the N55. There is little incremental cost in going 335i over 328i IMO.
