Buying an older xc60. Should I get warranty?

    I am buying a 2010 volvo xc60 T6 AWD with 101,000 miles. Cost 10k from the dealer.

They are offering a 2yr/24k powertrain warranty for 2800 or a bumper to bumper for 4k. Is it worth it?

The xc60's are safe and reliable and I see the T6 engine is very good but unsure if it would be worth it or not.

That doesn't make sense to me. The cost of your warranty is nearly half the cost.of your car. How does that make any sense?

Also I do not recall.reading.or hearing anywhere that Volvos are reliable. I think the cost of their warranty reflects that.

There were some bad models under ford ownership and when I researched the cars, the xc60 with a t6 engine is bulletproof. Results were not kind to other engines or the xc90.

As an aside; 2016+ model volvos that are certified come with a 5 - 10 year unlimited mile bumper to bumper warranty so they seem to think the new designs are well done.
