Gonna be switching that for either a B8.5 A4 on a lease...or if I want to pony up the extra $, the S4.

Awesome car, any reason why you would want it in automatic though?

Learn to drive stick, not too hard at all. I'm sure you have a friend that could teach you. Highly recommend a manual Vw/Audi over the automatic.

I love the look of this car, big, bulky, just a big beast on the road. But I hate the build quality, their powertrain breaks down very easily. I hope the next generation fixes that.

The b8 is a sexy car but interior is garbage compared to the b7. The build quality made me change my mind on upgrading. Now I'm stuck on what to buy was thinking a 2012 Jetta gli. Anyone have anything negative to say about the gli? I know the base jettas are **** now, curious if the gli feels different?

Volkswagen needs new engines badly. All of them(2.0 i4 from the golf/jetta, 1.9 tdi, even the 2.0 turbo too. Also the 2.5l i 5 sucks and sucks gas) are outdated. They need to start making better, direct injected 4 and 6 cylinders again instead of 5's

My favourite VW of all time...

Very sought after car, in any condition. In this condition they go for thousands, I think £4,000 last time I looked at one. Which is funny because around 1990 I bet you could get one for around £500-£800 lol. Yes the cabriolet GTi. It has a timeless look about it. One of those cars did one million miles on the same engine. It was a husband and wife pretty much using the car endlessly in shifts, they were company reps for their own company or something.

Base jettas on that poverty time, most have the 2.0 no turbo, no fogs, hubcaps, no signals on mirrors and no sunroof. Prob some other shiz but that's the main problem. But hey it's like 18k+ tax here ain't bad.

Unfortunately I was never able to take it Stage III because of the automatic transmission. The stock torque converter had a hard time handling itself from the factory, I can only imagine what it'd do with ~350whp haha.

My old MkV I had before the Evo. Loved this car. Great gas mileage, great torque (was stage 2), great creature comforts. I would love to have one as a DD.

    Eibach springs
    very short short shift kit
I sanded the texture off the black factory 'body kit' and painted it white to match. I used to paint cars/bikes.
Revo stg 2, downpipe, intake, motormounts and a host of other mods I can't remember
    A3 sport wheels

Well, that's not a fair comparison really. They way I had the MkV modded it was close to as fast as my evo was when it was stock. At least it felt like it. Prefer the Evo's seats, but the VW other interior features.

Yeah i hear ya, gotta love VW interior. The MKVs make good power with a tune, and even better with a KO4, but imo anything over 300whp is too much in a fwd car. Its too bad they the MKV R32 only came with the DSG, would have been cool to see with a 6 speed

MKV GTI brah here. Very nice one above.

Need to get going on colour matching the rear bumper, mine's a grey car with the big ugly black bumper and skirts.

my first car, a 2011 TDI. Bought her almost a couple months ago. Just under 40K miles on it now. Kind of expensive and I feel like I spoiled myself with the sunroof, nav, heated seats, etc. but I intend on owning it for a really long time. Should payoff in the long run (only paid for gas twice lmao, $3.79 for a gallon of diesel)

Met a guy in my local Audi club that had a twin-turbocharged 'rocco. Thing was an absolute BEAST. He also had a Phaeton and one of those monstrous V10 TDI Touaregs.
