Got to give it up for Zack to come back after that horrific injury and bring this incredible package to the pro stage (his pro debut).

That's just insane...

I completely forgot it was his Debut! The guy nailed it, he really did. His conditioning was great, and his upper body was round and full. Of course his legs were going to be problematic, but for what he went through, I think he did better than anyone expected.

Looked good for sure. I've never seen the guy in shape and was happy to see he can bring some killer conditioning.

Zach is one of those guys who looks you in the eye and actually participates in the conversation and is genuinely interested in what you have to say. A lot of other BB'ers do this as well but when I told Zach a lot of us on the BBcom forums were happy to see him healthy, recovered, back to competing and that we truly wish him the best and rooting for him to do great; he put his arm around me and said "Tell your boys I thank you all. You don't know how much it means to me. Thank you so much."
Straight up, he's just a wholesome, good dude.IFBB Pro Graphic Design Photoshop Ninja

Classic reason why setbacks, time lost and negativity should never be looked at as a reason nor as an excuse to quit at something. He came back improved from what he looked like when the hype started and despite what many would consider a career-ending injury (see JPF). ****ing insane.
I mean, there are the other bbers who inspire you because of what they look like. But it takes a different type of bber to keep his sponsor for 3 years with both knees blown to **** and still have the heart to keep going. I try to look for bodybuilders who just have ridiculous heart like this. Guys like Victor Martinez also come to mind. With all his family tragedies, and after being SCREWED all those years ago at the Olympia, still dedicated as ever. Not like some people we know who decided to stop competing because the baby didn't get his bottle.

A very respectable placing considering all he's been through and the long recovery process that was needed. He should stand proud in light of what he's done.
"I was laying in bed one night and I thought ‘I’ll just quit — to hell with it.’ And another little voice inside me said ‘Don’t quit — save that tiny little ember of spark.’ And never give them that spark because as long as you have that spark, you can start the greatest fire again.”
