I figured I might as well start my own thread to keep my gym pics and equipment mods/restorations in one place.
Here's my first gym in 2007. I thought it rocked until I joined bb.com and saw what REAL home gyms can look like.
Here's the current lineup :
SKID homemade 3x3 power rack, hammer strength db rack, pro db's 15-100, all ivanko and york plates, 40 lb xvest on wall rack, life fitness 0-90, hammer strength 0-80 bench, various bars, handles, other gizmos.
Unknown commercial lat pulldown, bodymasters seated row, pendlay ghd, bodymasters calf, parabody combo leg curl/ext
I just did a rebuild on that bodymaster row. It used to be a rusty heap.
Recent foot plate I made for the GHD. They come with some puny crap from the factory.

Awesome gym Skid, pretty much everything I would choose regardless of how much space I had. Lots of high quality items, and nice big weight stacks on the machines.

I have 2 sets of top hooks welded into the rack. In that pic one of the bars is hanging from the powerhooks I used with my dumbbells.

Nice additions, can't wait to see the new paint job. WHich colour did you go with in the end, or is it a surprise?

I'm going with the blue, just so it'll have a nice pop to it.
Got to try the leg press this morning for my leg workout, quads are toast lol[]---[] Equipment Crew Member No 7

Welp I got my rack repainted. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
also moved the leg press around. I'm going to wait a few weeks and then paint it black to match my other stuff

Sweeeet. Good choice. I'm glad you left a bit of black to contrast, and its practical as its on the high use areas. GJ.

Hey Skid, the gym looks great as always, and I love the way the new blue paint pops on the rack. But I have a few questions:
1) the thread title mentions workshop, when do we get to see the area where it all happens, lol ?
2) Where are you keeping your bike, I always figured that it was in the garage with the weights, but I didn't capture any glimpse of it.
Nice job on seeking out some really cool equipment."Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do, than by the ones you did" Mark Twain
"Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats" H. L. Mencken
