Been looking for a nice dress watch to go with formal occasions, settled and narrowed it down to this beauty. Before I pull the trigger in the next coming weeks what are your thoughts:
Tissot Le Locle T41.5.423.53

Looks great! Looks like a real dress watch, so elegant with roman numerals, and the colour of the bezel. Wouldn't mind having one, if i were to dress up more often.
Also, finally BOUGHT the Orange Monster!
BUT, wont wear it or see it until the end of my last exam...
Originally planned to purchase it on the day of my last exam for it to have sentimental value - the end of university studies, but in recent weeks i just cant take it anymore; im wasting so much energy thinking about buying it, checking the website daily to see if its still in stock etc. Might as well just get it done. When it arrives, I wont be unboxing, will be giving my girlfriend to hold on to it until the end of uni (she will open and check if it works).
Sounds silly, but it will also give me a chance to work on my self-control skills lol. And i still have my first watch - orient ray, which i would like to give more wrist time to.Liverpool F.C.
Zalgiris B.C.
Daniel Ricciardo future champion.

^^ Lolol TMRL. I know the feel of obsessively looking at watches, so I could imagine knowing exactly which you want

Saw your speedie on watchrecon, yushhh. Any idea what model you're looking to get in its place yet? An even-numbered strap width model, no doubt?

Cheers for the approval,
Unfortunately, Tissot issued two versions of the Le Locle:
The Le Locle Gent Automatic (the one I posted) >$500
and this is the one you're referring to:
Le Locle Gent Automatic COSC Certified ~MUCH more expensive
I would invest in the one that came first place in the COSC tests, but I don't know why they changed it from Roman to Arab numerals, and I'm much fonder of the roman numerals"No citizen has a right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training... what a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable." - Socrates

i actually was referring to the gent. the chronometre, while interesting, does not seem worth double the price of what you are looking at.
and i agree on the dial style, roman beats arabic in this case.

Quartz or mechanical? Mechanical
Sporty, formal or casual? Formal/Casual
Simple or complicated? Simple
Budget? ~$750
What watches have you already seen that you like the look of? Dark leather band and light face/bezel pref, no glow in the dark bs.
Complications? No preference
Edit: Thinking back, I've always loved rose gold accents on light watches - a perfect example:

Excuse the potato pic. 007 on a Maratac nato. It's been on my wrist for almost 12 hours and running at +/- 0 seconds right now. Really glad I got one that seems to keep great time. Had a hell of a time trying to get the oyster bracelet installed, think I might have to take it to a shop.

Hey guys, my buddy is looking for a watch. He saw an IWC pilot style chronograph and fell in love. His budget is like $400 or less, so Sinn is out. Any options?
doesn't necessarily have to be chrono i don't think. he'd prefer an automatic, but i don't think quartz is a deal breaker. he likes his watches bigger, so 42mm+.
-$400 or less
-aviation style (like IWC and Sinn)
-automatic preferred, quartz acceptable
-chronograph preferred, not necessary
-42mm or bigger
-on leather or bracelet
-black dial
similar to this.

Orient Mako Rubber Strap from Amazon for $99 with a black and gray zulu nato strap for $15
It's my first automatic. Chit keeps dying on me when I sleep and the second hand changes every day. +/-5 sec one day +/-25 sec the next. But I I think that's normal for automatics and I don't really mind it because it's just my first. Looking at a Vostok Amphibian or Submariner homage for my next watch.

Orient Flight? 42mm, less than $200

Laco also makes some nice pilots, from $400 and up, 42mm
And a nice cheap chrono: Seiko SNDA (40mm tho)

Rose gold would not be my choice for casual, personally. But that's just me. Depending on where going out means, that might work. But it looks more bulky and casual than dressed up IMO, but the color just isn't casual IMO again.
If that was a silver cased watch, definitely would look like a great sporty/casual watch.
Edit: oh nice, fishscale! I completely forgot that one. I've showed him maratac, some of the Hamilton khakis, and even a modded Hamilton pocket watch. Repped.
Any others?
