    Need some help

Hi guys, i can't say i'm new to this forum as i have been reading it(just never created an account) but here i am today needing help.
i've realised that if i do lots of pull ups, i seem to be experiencing what seems to be a sharp pain on my left shoulder. Then i proceed to rest for weeks and the pain goes off and everything is back to normal until i do lots of pull ups again.
The pain is kind of hindering my other exercises like bench press. What seem to be the problem? Is it due to weak shoulders?(The pain is only on the left shoulder)

Another question is, i've read the mythbuster thread and know that more training frequency = better results usually. So do you guys suggest i go to gym for 3 consecutive days if my body can take it?I'm not really doing splits.
    Thanks everyone.

Maybe you are either going too wide or you just have bad shoulders. Try it with a more narrow grip and see how it goes. If it still hurts, go see your doctor. For the training frequency, what do you mean?

If pullups hurt then just don't do them lol. no exercise should require weeks of recovery.

and no, 3 consecutive days of working out is a bad idea. Try full body workouts on 3 nonconsecutive days of the way. They're the way to go to build as much muscle as possible for beginners.

Thanks for all the advice so far. Do you guys think that doing like 12 set of 10 pull up is too much? also if wider pull up will hurt my shoulders can i counter it by building up my shoulders?
