This is my first post so I hope I'm in the right section.
So I'm looking for some advice on an AC joint sprain that I suffered playing Aussie Rules football, I want to to get back to lifting ASAP!
Basically between dec-march I was training hard, eating right & made some really good strength gains. I then sprained my AC joint in May and have been out of the gym since. My shoulder has been feeling much better and last week I went back to gym and straight away had paint right in the AC joint whenever I was performing a pushing motion (especially trying to train chest), so I had to stop.
My strength in my shoulder/chest is now about 50% of what it was, so it sucks big time.
Wondering here if anyone has suffered any similar type of injury and has any tips in how to rehab it for a speedy recovery so I can get back to training properly.
I'm currently travelling so regular physio isn't an option until I'm back in Australia in October.
