It is definately possible, but you have to replace all of the calories burned from running, and be in a surplus. So eat a **** load
Starting stats: 5 ft 10 in
    150 lbs
    15% bf
    Current: 154 lbs

    UNFORTUNATELY out for multiple strains

Healing to 100%, then I restart bulk

As of right now, Im not gonna make it

Make sure you get enough protein at night when you sleep. That'll give your muscles some time to repair themselves and grow. And yes, make sure you eat enough in general.

Yeah, just eat a lot to make up for the lost calories from practice, make sure to get proper protein intake each day as well.

I've gained about 15 lbs from lifting while improving all of my times in xc and track, you just have to eat a lot.

You can combine both, just eat loads.

However, you may not become exceptionally good at either sport. Every successful cross country runner I know is like 140lbs.
