    Workout Journal

I don't know exactly where to post this, so I guess this place is as good as any. Hopefully for the next few months I can help keep this updated. For the past 6-7 months I have been dogging it with my training and nutrition, basically from depression, but that is a whole other story. However my motivation is back and I am ready to get back in the game. My background: I will turn 33 this August 19(where does the time go), I have been training seriously for eight years, smartly for five. This post I will put down last weeks entire training. In the future I will try to post daily if time permits. I do not know if anyone will find this the least bit interesting, but hopefully someone can learn something from it. I will be glad to answer any questions about what I am doing and why I do certain things. So here goes:

    8/3/03 Quads/hams
Squats 335X6, 345X4, 315X4 the first two sets were done

    Stifflegged deadlifts 245X6,6,6

    Deadlifts 415X6,6 425X7
    Pullups bodyweight for 4,4
1 leg calf raises on the leg press 4 45 platesX7,8,8
    Seated calves 2 45 platesX8,8

    8/6/03 Chest
    Bench press 185X6, 195X6, 205X6
    Dumbbell incline 65X6, 70X6, 75X6
    Dips bodyweight for 6,7

    8/7/03 Arms/abs
    Dumbell curls 40x6, 50x6, 60x6
    Pushdowns 7x6, 8x6, 9x6 don't know how much
weight, just which plate i.e., 7 etc.
    Ez bar curls 105x6, 115x6
    Overhead extensions w/ez curls bar 85x6, 105x6
    Reverse curls 75x6, 85x5
    Standing wrist curls 85x11,10
    Ab wheel 6,3,3

So there is last weeks workouts. On mosts exercises I started out light since I took the preceding week off. Right now I am as strong as I have ever been and I believe I owe that to the diet I am following right now, which I will post later. I will also post todays leg workout. SEE YA!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't do triceps the day after chest. Also, make sure you are resting enough.

There is a training journal section in the powerlifting section. You could post there if you like.

    Looks good so far though.

Hi dreamweaver. I'd like to invite you to the "over 35" group. You're close enough. LOL

There's some really experienced people there with years of training under their belt and plenty of mistakes made along the way. Many of us have dealt with or are dealing with issues like depression as well.

Most of us keep some kind of log over there for our training and feedback from others. So if you get a chance, head on over and say hi.

    Peace
