This would attract a lot more members to the bb.com community and gives people the freedom to discuss their culture, lifestyle, entertainment, and most importantly health and fitness by just being themselves without worrying about personal attacks or negative backlash.

Health and fitness are universal.
It's also a terrible idea given the fact
1) There's no reason LGBT people cannot communicate peacefully with other human-beings (wow! Isn't this what equality is about, grouping instead of separating?!) and
2) There are people who would post in an LGBT sub-forum strictly to be negative. If you're scared of negativity, don't talk about your personal life in public? Otherwise, varied opinions are a part of life and if somebody attacks you for it, like somebody above said, report them.

There are gay and lesbian threads in the Personals section of this site. They don't get a lot of traffic, but you're welcome to use those if you feel more comfortablol around your people. Attacks hardly ever happen, and when they do, the mods are usually quick to deal with it.

I'm sure your concern is discrimination on the forums, but I'm not seeing the need for an entire forum especially for LGBT people, since they are no different than anyone else biologically (at least, not to my knowledge). There are forums especially for teens, women, and people over 35, but that is because people at different stages of life have differing fitness concerns, and obviously men's and women's bodies will operate differently.
I as a woman sometimes am treated poorly around here, but I deal with it just by having no avatar, a gender-neutral username, and seldom revealing that I am female outside of the Female Bodybuilding forum, which I guess you could call a "safe space". I understand the need to "come out" on the forums if you are asking about relationships. I've only been on the Relationship Help forum a couple of times so I'm not sure how much judgment there is on there towards the LGBT community, but I think that a good compromise would be to designate that entire forum as a safe space.Make Fihe Not Fat Again.
