for me it was laziness + love for food. I could eat 30 fried chicken wings dipped in full fat sauces then have 2 Liters of ice cream for dessert no problem. That was just dinner. Add that to not working out at all and it's pretty easy to get fat

People are fat for different reasons.

- Some do just enjoy food - But so do I and I'm not fat.
- Some do emotional eat or stress eat - There are healthier ways to cope.
- Some (very small percentage) have medical issues - These may inhibit weight loss, but do not generally prevent.

Ultimately, the common factor is personal responsibility. They are fact because they allow themselves to be through their habits.

Dad used to eat allota food fast, and of course I tried to compete as kid. Plot twist pops has intense job so he stayed lean. This turned into behavior + mmo time = fat rollie pollie.

I'm not "fat" but I am overweight and in the worst shape I've ever been. For me it was a confluence of things: a breakup, some legal and financial issues, and being forced to drop out of school because of money. Caused me to become really down on myself and kinda just give up for a while. Once you get in that position, though, it's very difficult to turn around your health, even if the other issues are cleared up. It goes from a depressed or stressed state to simply not having motivation or drive anymore.

Now I have most of the legal issues straight, money for school again, etc., so I'm hoping to turn the health aspects around too.

For me, it was laziness. After high school, I stopped skating and being active and became a shut in. I played computer games all day and my eating habits went to hell. Before I knew it, a couple years went by and I was heavier than I'd ever been.

No once in that did you say I am fat because I didn't eat healthy or didn't exercise. It is a typical answer - it is always something else and never my actions.
