Wouldn't just shooting the inmate be much cheaper and quicker than the lethal injection?

Please tell me the difference between the 3 noted in the thread. A death is a death.
To answer OP's question, to take away the pain. I believe it's in 3 shots, and by the time they do the 3rd shot, they don't feel anything and it's a "peaceful" way to kill the inmate. It's not what car you drive, it's the size of the arm hanging out the window

It was designed to be the most humane method of execution for both the executed and those witnessing.
Of course it isn't very humane in general. Doses are given incorrectly and the executed isn't in a coma, just paralyzed, when the lethal drugs are introduced, which would lead to an incredibly painful and terrifying death.
Personally I'd much rather have a freshly sharpened guillotine.Panthers/Tar Heels/Hurricanes/Durham Bulls

$1,286.86 (sauce: articles. latimes. com/2012/feb/24/nation/la-na-nn-execution-drugs-20120224)
that's not the expensive part. What costs a butt-load of money is keeping them incarcerated for 10+ years during the appeals process. The appeals for death row inmates is almost endless and becomes a black hole of money because of all the time the litigation takes. Not only does the state have to pay for the time they spend trying to put the guy to death, but most defendants are indigent, so the state also ends up paying the defense legal feesSquat: 425

you really think that shooting someone would save enough money to build shools instead of giving them a lethal injection?
even if it was the case, you have to think about that someones life is going to end! i think anybody deserves the least painful and frightening way of death no matter what they were in for.

If someone kills my mother, I want him dead as well. An eye for an eye. I don't want him to be comfortable and living it up for years in a jail cell and getting a peaceful way to die. He deserves to die the 2nd he takes away my mothers life.
