Mirin' his game so hard this series. 21 years old, would've been Finals MVP if Spurs won. Huge shots + rebounds, plus great D against LeBron all series.

So far this year, the following players have been labeled as the next Scottie Pippen.
Jimmy Butler
Paul George
Kawhi Leonard
A lot of good young SFs coming up. Add Parsons, and then possible players like Kidd Gilchrist, Otto Porter, and then the future Wiggins and Jabari Parker. So ridiculous all the SF talent that will be in the NBA.Bulls--Bears

in this thread: youngins who have no idea just how potent Pip was in his prime...get the hell out of here w all this Butler/PG/Leonard talk...even combined they haven't accomplished enough to even attempt Pips' shot off the glass...and I'm sure 90% of the guys here have no idea what I'm talking about.

i recall what i've read on these boards in the past weeks. Don't get me wrong, i have utmost respect for the young bucks. But Scottie is an easy arguement for the greatest defensive 3 in nba history, an excellent point forward and a flat out winner. It's akin to saying how VC or GHill was the next Mj when they were still trying to get on the all star game..just saying they got a lot of work to do before any of it will not get eyes rolled at.

I'm with you on that one old man.
Kawhi to be more specific has the potential to become the best defenisve player in the league and a legit second option on a conteding team. PG is a hell of a defender not as a good as kawhi but a better handle and better pick and roll game.
Who knows..When you've got so much potential it's hard not to get exited
I'm too young to remeber anything scottie pippen. Only watched him a few games on tape..
who knows..

what the heck...first time ive been called old here....ahaha but i guess its true. let's just say i consider top small forwards in nba history to be Pip, Bird and Bron...order left up to whoever's disputing. Scottie was unreal in my opinion...and no not a blind Bulls fan of any kind...ive always watched the whole league. he played defense like none other...he had the tight man on man D, help D, chasedown blocks, pullup 3's on the break, ran the offense for most of the time and athleticism through the roof. I guess the closest thing would be imagine a prime DWade '06-'09 playing w Lebron right and that's as close as i can describe as to the effect of Pip/MJ back then looked like. their 2nd 3peat team of MJ, Pip, Worm consisted of the greatest defensive players at the 2, 3, and 4 arguably on one team...it was flat out incredible.
I just want to say in general...instead of hating, just enjoy the talent we see today. One rep, one set, one meal...one day at a time. You build a fortress brick by brick.

doubtful, but it depends how much clippers improve and if they can avoid full strength OKC. nevermind they have to avoid the injury bug too.
leonard is definitely a potent talent...but let's get real guys. any pippen talk is premature. I can see some similarities at the early stages but let's wait a bit. Scottie is arguably the best non-big defender the nba has ever had, and his athleticism and versality were basically unparallelled. Lebron is the first scottie-esque guy we've seen in that regard (though lebron has more size than scottie and thus can play more at the 4.)Deathstroke and I list our most hilariously awful WCW moments (lots of gifs & vids; expect load time):

I didnt say Parsons was another "next pippen". I was just saying all the legit young SFs on the come up.
But Butler Defense>Kawhi Defense. And The are pretty similar offensively. Butler avged 15 and 7 as a starter this year. Played 3 games of 48 minutes on lebron in the Bulls Heat series. Butler Kawhi and George all have legit futures though. NBA SF position is so deep.Bulls--Bears

LOL Pippen is considered top 20-30 of all time.
I don't see butler, Kawhi Leonard, PG, etc etc even scratching the surface of top 100 of all time.
LOL just LOL"The reality of it is, the "Real" Weekend Warrior is the guy that goes to the gym on a Friday night when the place in empty and does dead lifts. The guy that wakes up at 7 am on a saturday morning well rested from a good nights sleep the night before and ready for a war with the weights. I have noticed my best gains came once I gave up the late nights. I can't lie, many of my friends have really misunderstood me for my "ways" but if you have goals and you want results you have to be committed."
