The maker of socom 1 & 2 is back to make our new socom as close as he can make it to the classics! The game designer is sears and he had departed from Sony in hopes of gaining our support in helping him give us what we want. Google the site kickstart.com and search the new game title h hour elite as for that is our new socom in the works. YouTube h hour elite and then go to kickstart.com for more details. Spread the word we need more support we have until July 7th 2013 or we may never have a shot at our game again!

lets be clear. He is not making another socom. Its a new game called H-HOUR. It may be similar to the earlier socoms in a lot of ways but with be a totally new game.



The good news is, he was a big part of what made the first two socoms what they were. Some look at this guy like a socom god. So having him at the helm of production on this new game is BIG for us socom fans. Also, from what he says, this game will be heavily influenced by the early socom games. So thats great!

Me too but true socom fans has been asking for Socom2HD or close to it since Ps3 came out. Confrontation and Socom 4 both failed to produce the same competitive quality of what Socom series started on Ps2.

Socom 2 is equivalent to what CS is for the FPS...and a hint of BF/MAG since they promote teamwork.

And if you look at the link, if you donate the appropriate amount of money, you are rewarded very well.

Example: You get a chance to be in a video game and/or go on a trip with the developers to exotic places to shoot footage for the game or whatever they plan on doing out there.

i never played socom, but it looked like a cool game back in the day.
I would play a new socom over bf4 or cod:spooks any day of the week.

This is pretty cool. Played S2 quite competitively, probably my favourite console game ever made. Reading through the kickstarter it was looking good, then when I got to the rewards I ended up getting completely thrown off of this.
They want to push for 2 DLC's a year? It will already be a $30-$60 game, seeing that they want to port it to the PS4. That seems a little too much, and will take away a lot of the competitiveness in the game that was great in S2.
Socom Confrontation wasn't too bad, wasn't as good as the original or S2 but IMO it was wayyyyy better then S3/S3.5. And then S4 was absolute ****, turned into another ****ty cod game imo.
Will keep an eye on it though, thanks for sharing it!

Well game prices drop pretty quick ..and for all we know these DLC's could be map packs. New map packs here and there will sure keep the game alive and competitive. And I agree Confrontation wasnt as bad as Socom 4...actually played it a lot ..until hackers had to ruin that game as well. ****in hackers man lol.

It was sh*t because the servers sucked and there were was way too much lag.

It was amazing for the few minutes I was actually able to play it when the servers didn't suck. Srs.


I'm sure it's improved now though. If a similar game to Socom comes out to PS4, I'll def buy it.

^^ OH lawd had it for launch too. Brings back the memory of that pain. Online only game, couldn't even play online. Was a terrible launch, a few weeks after though it was pretty legit. I managed to get into a good clan and land a spot on their 4v4 roster. Did that for a few months was pretty epic.

@Cris dem hackers actually didn't even know there's hackers for confrontation haven't played that since I stopped doing tournaments for it. Still mad hackers ruined S2 with the C9 shiet. Would always go back to S2 with some friends during summer breaks, make a gamebattle team and do some 2v2/3v3s, and then 99% of the community had that c9 crap and made it unplayable . But yea the new maps and what not would be awesome, I just see that having to buy them would set it back a bit. Like you would HAVE to buy them to stay competitive which could be an issue even if they are cheap. Would be a great casual experience none-the-less. Would still be interested to watch an actual competitive tactical shooter, so I hope this happens.

Lol looks like you didnt play Confrontation long enough..servers actually ironed out and it was playable. If you liked Socom Confrontation for the limited time that you did play you..you'd enjoy the original games especially S2. Confrontation was like a watered down version of S2. Maybe 4-5 months before Socom 4 came out, hackers came out full force for that game too with unlimited bullets, unlimited health, super jumping, ect.

@CanadianSpartan, I see what you mean with the DLC. But yeah..itll be interesting to see how this game turns out.

Half ass port? Most of the ps2 ports that I have are pretty good if not better. Why make a re make? Because no game today can produce a TPS tactical shooter like Socom did. Trash the name? Thats why its called H-Hour not socom. H-Hour is being made by the original socom creators and following the same formula.

Lulz..used to do that too. Especially when you're the last one left..you gotta do what you gotta do ! Used to pick people off like that if they werent careful. Smarter players KNEW they had to avoid bushes thats around corners.

Socom 1 vet checking in. Greatest series up to Socom Confrontation, that would be when it took a nose dive (in my opinion). I've been patiently waiting for a Socom2HD or Socom remake. I've been looking forward to this as well as Takedown. This will definitely get my support. 552 SD proned in a bush next to the truck on Desert Glory while leaning firing at enemies as they jump around and run in circles was awesome lol.
