Overall really happy with this workout I need to work on my off the ground, but my lockout speed is pretty good. Felt like I was about to tear something in my lower left pec though on my two heavy sets maxing.
GOD is good man I was pretty down in the dumps this week because I don't have a job yet and only have about a thousand dollars with my freshman year of college coming up one semester would bankrupt me but if everything is fine on my transcripts I'm going to get a presidential scholarship to a community college paying my first two years in full. Horrible workout I didn't carb up and I wasn't in the right mind set. My diet for the last 3 days or so has sucked. None of my sets felt good. The 225x10 was complete trash only hitting 10 and all the reps sucked was all over my chest no bouncing but bar placement was trash. Highly dissapointed in that and pausing was okay but not the progression I wanted. 225x10 is horrible for touch and go just wasn't feeling it today. Was pretty happy with this workout the 125s set was a little ugly but I'm happy I maxed out the dumbbells on flat bench and felt the weight for two.
I was helping to train a buddy of mine and it got uncomfortable since his form is still pretty bad I'm making sure its perfect before he puts up any real weight and I'm being pretty blunt about it. I lifted almost equally between upper and lower body meaning if I did skip a workout that workout would of been legs but I pushed myself on bench press and didn't care if I progressed as fast on squats. My lifts should back into proportion pretty fast since im lifting double the amount of lower body as upper right now. Yeah man I was really happy with the 365x5 last two reps were tough but I made it through them. My issue right now is off the ground so im working on deficits. I should have 405 next max at least I'm hoping to progress 10 lbs each week until max week which is in 4-5 weeks I believe. Now that I have been training with a powerlifting mentality my squat and deads have shot up and I'm loving both.

I carbed up late probably 20 minutes before we worked out. Overall I just wasn't feeling it didn't have a right balance on the bench felt off. Pretty happy with the 285 paused it was pretty easy I was going to go up but wanted to save energy for dumbbells I'm 100% sure I can get a strong pause at 285 though. I was dissapointed I wanted 285x5 today but when I started squating at the lockout of my reps I felt a pain in my thighs that messed me up. Did tripples since I thought it would help me push through it didn't really help that much. Still hit a solid PR so happy with that.

Overall could of been better inner thigh pain threw me off, but still hit 2 good formed PRs.
This week I have been not necessarily doubting God but doubting human error that I wouldn't get the presidential scholarship for college because school starts in a week and they haven't received my transcripts to prove I had a 3.0+ in highschool along with my placement tests placing high at the college. Since I'm switching my routine over to Madcow next week I was bored and decided to max today. 315 THOUGH?! WHERE DID THAT COME FROM? Thank you God, super happy about hitting that I wasn't even focused with the 245x6 paused reps and I still hit a PR and they were all solid strong pauses. So happy to finally hit this! Took many years but I'm here. Even though my butt came a little off the bench it was a really solid lift.

Very Happy with this workout huge milestone!
Edit: was looking back to see how badly I wasted my time it took me 1 year 6 months and 20 days to go from a 225 bench to a 275 bench (yes I know that's a 50lb increase over 40 from 275 to 315.) And it took me a month and a half to go from 275 to 315 Because I was eating properly and was pushing myself. All of those years wasted such a shame.
Edit 2: from July 2012 to July of 2014 it took me to get my squat from a 225 to a good 275. So sad how much time I wasted lifting and making no progress. And in this last two months I've went from 275x1 to 275x5.Last edited by CWGame; 08-20-2014 at 08:57 PM.

Thanks for checking out my log man! My bench is my only decent lift but I'm fixing that trying to get my dead and squat into proportion.
I am a freshman in college not sure what a rising freshman is though I start Monday.
Yeah my relationship with him has grown tremendously in the past 3 months since I started training hard. I've eased into reading the bible and praying often.
