Don't know that feel bro and hope I never feel it. I have social anxiety but I don't get panic attacks luckily.

If you want to experience the mother of all panic attacks try withdrawing from gaba-b agonists. some of the worst sh*t, nearly collapsing and passing out on the brink of seizures.

ya I've had the problem where you feel like you can't breathe when I get too conscious about my breathing. It's gone away slowly as I'm slowly getting rid of my anxiety
( ͡ಠ ͜ʖ ͡ಠ) That's life son ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

**** landed me in the ER in 2006(happened after a rough shift in EMS). Severely hypertensive (to the point of stroke or a hemorrhage BP mid 200's systolic and mid 100's diastolic), cardiovascular shock, ghostly pale and losing consciousness in and out. got a 12-lead and chest x-ray, all was clear for acute cardiac abnormalities. scariest **** ever, I knew what it was because the feeling has come and gone before but never got full blown till then. panic attacks can creep up and you won't even know it until you're seeing white flashes all over your vision and that burn sensation shooting up the back of your neck and hairs. promptly got something for "as-needed" and then started a low dose SSRI....haven't had an "attack" since. If I could help it with therapy I would, I've gone to talk therapy and it didn't resolve one bit before I chose to go the medication route, my diet was good.

Grandfather was a forward observer and fought in some of the biggest artillery battles of WW2. Dad was US Army Special Forces and fought in Vietnam. Wasn't raised to be pussy, but I still get anxiety attacks sometimes...my dad has seen a lot worse than me, but has been supportive and helpful both times I had one while he was around. You have no idea how anxiety works or what it's all about.
OP, I for sure know the feeling. What helps me a lot is having a proper diet, as well as telling myself that it will be over within half an hour. Occasionally, I'll throw up, but mostly I don't. I think a lot of it is hormones from getting older, to tell you the truth.
Question is: Why is anxiety attacks common in our generation, but not in others? Is it the food we eat, the culture we live in? This is something I do wonder about.Making Music

I know these feels, was a heavy weed smoker all through highschool and had my first anxiety attack at 18 I believe, or 19. 22 now, almost never get them anymore. Good diet and exercise virtually made them disappear, that and once I learned it was anxiety and not heart related I began to deal with them MUCH better.
I just had a particularly bad one the other day, even made a thread about: Did I have a heart attack (srs). Blood tests still haven't come back but I am very sure it was anxiety related because I have been working and jogging(doing my daily routines) Just fine. Although the day after it happened I had bad fatigue and indigestion which made me worry.
I don't know what started causing them in my case, I want to blame the weed but I know plenty of guys who still smoke weed everyday and never have any problems. Now whenever I smoke weed I get severe anxiety for some reason so I simply don't use it anymore. I try not to drink either.
Any idea what even causes them? Mine might be hormone related, not sure. I have had plenty of blood tests and my levels were always good, including my test levels.++ Positive Crew ++

Your idiocy is astounding. Nice signature. How is it wrong for a grown man to play video games? How is it different from things such as watching television, or browsing a forum? Who cares if people play video games, it's not like they're playing with fukking barbie dolls or some ****. You're one of the biggest morons I've seen on the misc
pls goThere and back again twice, a deep red's tale.

You're a fuking dumbass.
Also, you don't look anywhere near 270.
"If you're a grown man and you still play video games, GROW THE F UP"
^ Your one of those guys I see. Strong fuking life you have.
The irony of you telling someone to grow the f up when you can't even comprehend that anxiety is more than just "be a man and stop worrying".Last edited by atlathlete1; 05-19-2013 at 04:35 PM.
