My face primer had SPF 15 which I wear for work. Otherwise I wear Neutrogena face sunscreen with SPF 90 if I will be outside. I always have something on if outside at all. Even driving in the car with the sunroof open allows for sun exposure.

I'm not sure who sells it in Canada, but you'll likely find it on Amazon. Somebody mentioned Avon already, and I concur - I've had some great experiences with their products and the price is always right!
If I do buy Estee Lauder, I try to get it at the airport or when they have their "gift with purchase" deal on. I did this for years and never really bought makeup because it always came free.
I'm definitely going to try the dry/mineral sunscreens that are available now. Bare Essentuals makes one, and my friend picked one up recently too. It's like touching up your makeup and reapplying your sunscreen at once.No drama: You know where we are.

So , tell me... Is it true that sunscreen can actually never be over 30spf? And anything over is not any stronger? Because I am burning with my 30spf. I use the oil free coppertone faces because i can't stand the feel of the oily sunscreen... Should I use a sport sunscreen for my body and the neutrogena face one? Like I said.,,, I breakout get blackheads very easily. And burn easy.

^^^Da fuk? I have 100spf, it's a sports/swimming type Coppertone one, and I am outside allll the time. Will be really disapointed if that stuff is not the super strength I thought it was. I never get sunburned though so it must be doing something.

It's true. Over 30-35, the difference is negligible, and rumour has it, regulations will change soon.
Personally, I swear by Neutrogena 100SPF for the face. I think I like it just because it absorbs quickly and doesn't feel greasy and isn't white on my skin. Perhaps it truly is 35 SPF, I don't know - because it is so non-greasy, I tend to re-apply it often and maybe that's why I find it so effective. Also, I have no problem applying makeup over it, and no problem reapplying it over makeup. No drama: You know where we are.

the SPF of a sunscreen isn't one-size-fits-all. the number is derived from the minutes you can stay in the sun unprotected vs protected before the skin reddens. this obviously depends on your skin type, time of the year and the time of the day you're out in the sun, where you live and how you apply the stuff.
the increase in the number doesn't mean 30 is twice as effective as 15. SPF 15 filters ~93% of the rays, SPF 30 filters ~97% of the rays and SPF 50 filters ~98% of the rays.
no idea about SPF 100, but that seems overkill. no sunscreen can filter 100%.
ETA: australia used to have an SPF 30 as max for all sunscreens. methinks not because you can't technically achieve a *higher* level of protection, but because the increase is negligible. plus if the bottle says the SPF is twice as high, people will use less of the product, stay out for longer, not reapply etc.Last edited by Miranda; 05-19-2013 at 07:53 PM.

I just want to find a sunblock that doesn't make me start sweating instantly. It's like a vicious cycle. As soon as I put sunblock on my forehead I start to sweat it off.
Anyone know of an antiperspirant sunblock?Transformation Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170068283&page=1

Mashed banana applied to fine lines can help smooth the wrinkles on your face. Leave the remedy on for 15 minutes, and then wash off with lukewarm water. You can also apply wrinkle creams which contains natural ingredients.

This is exactly what happens to me Wyo. And it's part of what I hate about suncreen. It's like I put it on and it creates some nasty seal that makes my skin feel like it can't breath. It's so gross.
Ok. So, lesson here is, apply sunscreen multiple times a day if I am going to be outside regardless of whether I'm swimming/ sweating etc. Definitely going to get the neutrogena 100spf to see if it feels better on my face.
I usually run from the sun and stay out of it at all costs. But I just moved up to a place that is SO beautiful and breezy that I have no problem staying out all day. Thanks for all of the information everyone.Squats and Maple syrup son. Squats and Maple syrup.

Peter Thomas Roth un- wrinkle peel pads. These little gems are loaded with exfoliators, amino acids, vitamins A C D E & F and antioxidants.
I have that one frown crease between my eyebrows (created solely by my teenage son) and these things have done wonders.

Guy here, but I saw other guys post so...
I've been wearing a wide brim hat for a couple of years, whenever I can, when I know I'll be out in the sun for awhile. Not casually, but usually when doing yard work and sometimes at the water park/pool. I'll still wear sun screen fairly often, but the hat really is a lot easier when I'm sweating and don't want the sunscreen running in my eyes.
Don't care if I look like a dork.
I think girls can pull off sun hats really well, so maybe look into trying one if you haven't before.

as far as i know...
Tretinoin cream-speeds up cells regeneration
Sunscreen-complete MUST if you use Tretinion (Retin A) because the sun will damage your skin faster while using it
Avoid sugar-sugar damages collagen

read it and weep ladies! tho i'm sure everyone on this site knows to stay away lol
Be aware of your facial expressions-some ppl grimace or frown consistently out of habit. Once you catch that ur doing it, stop it.
Facial exercises-this is for the truly dedicated. i just started so can't say if this works or not (or if i'll actually keep up with it...) but its something to look into.

I work at a medical/cosmetic facility, and have been a dedicated user of Botox and fillers for the last 10 years - love them, the effects are wonderful in the hands of the right practitioner. That being said, you are young still, and need minimal intervention. SPF is a must, even on cloudy days, avoid the bad stuff (alcohol, smoking, stress - the usual suspects!). My favorite anti- aging topical is still Retin-A. I have tried all of the peptides, growth factors, coenzyme Q10, etc. and still have the best results with Retin-A. It balances moisture, so you don't need a moisturizer, diminishes acne and plumps the skin from the dermis to give it a juicier, smoother look. Not without it's side effects, but a marvelous anti-aging product that has stood the test of time. I sound like a commercial, lol !!

Make sure the products you are using are safe and don't have too many chemicals. I only use organic products on my skin (coconut oil etc.).
Cosmetic Database is where you can look up what is in your products:

aloe vera gel directly from the plant, it's been labelled the miracle plant many times srs. I use it for acne marks and it's amazing makes your skin so soft and smooth and gives it a glow.
"Aloe vera gel is cooling, soothing and healing for the skin. A traditional remedy for minor burns and skin irritations, the gel from this desert plant is also beneficial for taking care of aging skin and reducing the formation of wrinkles. As the body ages the skin becomes thinner, drier and creases form. Part of this process is inevitable as cells produce more free radicals and collagen is broken down. Keeping the skin lubricated and providing adequate nourishment, as well as compounds that will stimulate healing and the formation of new healthy cells, can help to slow this process.
Simple, natural aloe vera gel has all of these benefits. It is one of the most powerful natural moisturizers, smoothing and softening the skin. It is also very nourishing, easily penetrating the skin with amino acids, minerals and enzymes. Aloe vera is also rich in phytochemicals known as mucopolysaccharides, which are rich in organic silicon. These compounds link with collagen, promoting the formation of new tissue. They also have anti-inflammatory properties, calming skin inflammation caused by free radical damage".
"Aloe vera gel has many beneficial properties for the skin, especially for mature or dry skin. It is a powerful tool for preventing premature lines and wrinkles and for slowing the effects of aging on the skin. Use aloe vera to reduce wrinkles but also make sure you are living a healthy lifestyle for beautiful skin. Eat a diet that is rich in fruits and vegetables, nuts, seeds and whole grains. Drink eight glasses of water a day. Avoid smoke as much as possible and wear a natural sun block if out in the sun for more then 10 or 15 minutes. Take good care of your skin and it will be able to remain soft, smooth and youthful for as long as your genetics will allow".

Seriously this was posted on my fb news feed by the local radio station: This is the 'Facewaver Exercise Mask'. It's supposed to increase blood circulation & smooth out wrinkles while you make different facial expressions for 5 minutes a day.

I use the oil cleansing method to 1. clean my skin, 2. keep it plumped and hydrated, and 3. keep it balanced. It sounds counterintuitive, but it's not. Works magic, makes skin look dewy and is cheap and natural.
Also, I will get an occasional IPL photofacial. I deal with some rosacea, and it keeps the redness down (also lightens scars and broken blood vessels), but as it also causes micro tears under your skin, it forces new growth of collagen. Groupon has them all the time.

LOL you are panicking for wrinkles at 30, wait until you hit 40!!!
Unless you are doing something really bad for your skin, like being a fisherman in the Mediterranean wrinkles are mostly genetic, look at what your mom and dad look now and it will give you a good idea of what genes you have.
Also I can't use any products on my skin because I can't tolerate anything. The only thing I can put on my face is a foundation by Hourglass. For now I don't really care much about wrinkles, if I do start caring I have no problem going under the knife. I am not going to do Botox because it looks so fake, with those eye brows and forehead frozen in place, yuck.Follow my 2018 competition prep here:

I don't know if anyone one said this in this thread, and sorry if I am repeating but cant read all 59 posts lol but the best thing you can do is to PROTECT YOUR SKIN FROM THE SUN! The amount of damage the sun does to your skin is outstanding especially over the years. Also, drink plenty of water, and get a good sleep.
