Well not good.
Trying to keep my mind off it for now but I'm off lifting until I see a Neurologist. I have been tinkering with my heli's mostly to keep my mind busy.
Doc says my upper spine is messed up. He wants me off lifting until they find what we are dealing with.50+ year old stubborn mule. Follow along at

UPDATE:
I was always a fast walker. Well since in the chair I hunch over to push it faster so I don't flip over backwards.
Add the lifting and muscles healing to the mix and my muscle healed and grew pulling my neck and spine cockamamie.
A bbers worsted nightmare. Stop lifting completely and let the muscle relax and atrophy a bit so the spine can realign. During this time I have to make a conches effort to sit up straight and not hunch over in my chair.
It's been a few months since my last workout. I sold my home equipment to keep the salt out of a open wound per say. I have been working with people as they ask me.
Been active with my RC helicopters to keep the mind busy. I just finished building my Blade 550X. ( Servo's are unplugged here for ESC set up.)
Doc. may have been onto something. My neck is showing improvement. It still may be a while before I can lift again, but at least there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Now if the Neurologist would ever call with my appointment date.50+ year old stubborn mule. Follow along at

Getting some AAEFX Test Charge Hardcore. My neck is doing a better. Think I'm going to start out light till after the Holliday's. Neither the Doc or the neurologist have gotten back to me.
My neck isn't 100% yet but it don't catch or feel like a baseball bat hitting me in neck when I move my head.
I'll start out with Walker dips.50+ year old stubborn mule. Follow along at

Hey Rich - missed your earlier posts about the neck issue - had no idea!
Really sorry to hear that and I can't imagine how you can survive without the gym. I think each and every one of us on here knows how vital our gym time is to ourselves and our day to day routine.
Keep your head up and stay strong. Sounds like you are following the doctor's orders and like you said, hopefully you will be back at it soon, with a renewed passion!

Hey Rich, I've seen some of your updates on FB and knew you were taking a break. How are things going? I'm sure the itch to train has been tough, but I'm sure your new hobby is keeping those motor skills busy. Jeff from Nutrition X is very much into RC flying. Wishing you a speedy recovery man!

Yep I'm taking it now. Getting old and with training on hold I need the fat burning help all I can get. (people forget "T" levels are a big factor in fat burning ) Plus I should have a few cycles in to be full effect by the time I get back to the weight's.
Thanks Rich. Ya the RC Heli's are keeping my mind busy and my thumb's out of trouble. lol
Did some "Walker Dips" the other day and neck took a few steps back again. Not sure how atrophied and relaxed I have to let my muscles go for my neck to straighten out. I hope not to much more. Getting sick of the feeling of getting electrified in the neck when ever I turn my head.

Some great updates.
I got into radio control helicopters and trucks during my retirement. They have helped a lot with therapy everything from eye hand to getting on my feet again.
YES lifting and RC's have it were I can even lift light weight with my legs now and gimp around on flat level ground.
I do some light lifting on and off throughout the week.
Now some new info has came to my attention and I may be back in the game.
Everyone I trained and stuck it out with me has made and stayed with great results.
May be getting back into things.50+ year old stubborn mule. Follow along at
