Thinking about getting a pair and I've heard from a couple people to get a size smaller than what your supposed to. Can anyone confirm?

I would go a size down. I have a pair that are sized for me. And they really don't add much of anything. If your goal is to get a little pop out of the hole, go a size down. If you are getting these for support, I would recommend a neoprene knee sleeve. Especially if you plan on competing with these.
I have the EFS heavy sleeves and a pair of titan sleeves. The EFS sleeves never come out of my bag. just my $.02.2015 Meet PRs 413/292/463 1168@162

I wear a large in EFS heavy sleeves, and a 4XL in EFS super heavies. The heavy sleeves are pretty true to size, if you get the super heavies, go up 4 sizes. No joke. I can't find my tape measure, but I have 19"ish calves and 31"ish quads. Neoprene sleeves are much less stretchy, so if you have big calves, you may have a lot of trouble getting them on initially.
